I live in a small town in Kentucky. I've live here about 6 or 7 yrs now. Long enough for a lot of things to piss me off. I could name a million things these little towns get away with just because they are run by someone's daddy. Whatever they think is right and wrong- is the law.
Well today my daughter and I went to this place called 'Fantasy World'. Ok, this is a place where women go and buy their little nighties, sexy panties and bras, oils, lotions and there's a room where you can toy shop. My daughter was just looking for corsets to wear as tops, that's the thing now.
We got up to the counter and I noticed a petition there. I asked the lady if they were trying to shut them down again. She said they were. She said it started because the store was trying to obtain the necessary permits and pay the fees to get a license to sell videos and magazines. Then a "minister" got wind of it, and has been in the courtroom trying to convince the judge to just shut it down. This may sound unreal to you, but this is how they do things around here. See, the judge is a friend of the "minister". So now it has become a judicial issue. Mind you, this store is not even in the middle of town, not anywhere near a school or any residential area.
So, on October 25th at 6:00 pm the Judge, the Store owner, the store owners attorney, The "minister", his attorney (?), and any of the public who wish to will meet. I will be there. Also, I do not plan on sitting quietly. I have talked with the owner of the store and she worries because of the friendship between the judge and the "minister". I said, I will be there watching, and I know the law. If that minister make the decision about this place based on his idea of decency, instead of the law. It will be time for federal Government. Because that store has not broken any law, not one. Based on common sense State and Federal laws, they have every right to own and operate that business. So I'd appreciate any advice anyone might have that will help back up what I have to say on the 25th.

Ok, this is what I am reading and hearing about terror threats. BTW, it's the same thing I hear every time, and by the same people who bitches and whined for the big 9-11 investigation into nowheresville. People are angry because; one, they think it is a hoax and that their daily lives are being interrupted for no reason, two, their privacy might be infringed on again, and three, it's just another Bush tactic to keep everyone feeling like the Bush Administration is there to protect us.
So, maybe it is a hoax, an infringement on the lunch in your backpack, even makes Bush think he is "MR. Terror Fighting Superman". What would, wait let me rephrase that, what WILL happen when there is another Terrorist attack in America? What are you same people going to be saying then????? I know exactly what you'll be saying. You'll be bitching "I wanna know what went wrong and who screwed up!!!! I want to know why we weren't informed well enough!!! I want to know why those explosives got there in the first place!!! Yada, yada, yada!

Ok, first of all, aren't the right wing conservatives using the same rationale to reject this Supreme court nominee as they have accused the liberals of doing before? In other words, based on experienced how well (R) congressmen can get an idea of her Ideology? Conservatives are upset because she has not got enough of a record to prove to them that she is conservative enough to go to bat for them concerning Roe v. Wade and other right wing issues.

quickly, also one other thing I just don't get, there is a little video going around with clips about 9-11 on it. It basically wants to prove that not only did planes hit the two towers, but that explosive device were already planted on several of the floors, including the basement and lower floors and went off before and after the planes hit. Ok, if this is to show that the government was doing all of this to 'rid' them of some ppl with two much info and get rid of some documents, boy did they really do some heavy duty coordination. Then to see the chaos in Iraq, and how unorganized the government can be during a hurricane,it makes me wonder how on one hand, ppl can say that the government is such a mastermind of evil and then spend yrs pointing out how incompetent it is.

My entry;

Two party politics has become an aggressive game made up of the Blue team against the Red team. Our children are the spectators, watching "grown ups" calling each other names, spreading rumors, adopting Conspiracy Theories against the other side and mainly showing our next generation how to twist truth, brainwash themselves to agree with and promptly spout off their particular narrow minded talking points. Our next generation is learning not to trust the Government, not to think for themselves on issues and that politically, the main qualifications of leadership are, whether or not abortion is right or wrong, stance on gays, and how badly they hate the other party.
They are going to see how little any politician from either team really cares about the real needs of Americans. Instead bribes, through the avenue of "Pork Barrel Spending" are what brings money to there state. This money will obviously be something that they will wonder what went with it once our perspective representatives acquired it.
Also, they will begin to realize that The President and congress no longer controls legislature, but the "Special Interest" Groups from either the far left or far right, are the real bosses.
Finally, unfortunately they will see who the losers are in this two party political game are, THEM, the next generation . Because instead of concentrating on bettering and sustaining what we have/had as a country, and working on upholding standards that will make this country a decent place for our children to live in, all the Governments time has been wasted on opposition to whatever ideas or legislation brought before them from the other team. Also, the drive to bring about an agenda to make their ideology move forward supersedes common sense answers to each issue.
So, what is the answer? America will fall soon if things don't change. "United we stand, divided we fall". We have two very divided and ununited sides, growing farther and farther apart. It is time for an emergency overhaul of the Governmental system. It's time to allow Independent minded politics. Take off the labels and let the people vote on a candidate based on what their priorities are for our nation, who has the best common sense solutions to what faces America, and who is looking out for the people, not whether they have a (D) or an (R) after their name. It is time the country ran elections instead of the RNC & the DNC. Let third parties declare their candidacy and start campaigning with the other two parties, allow them to access company funds, allow them to debate the issues along with Candidates (D) and (R). If we are going to have caucuses, have them in all states instead of Iowa deciding who the nominee will be. The majority of Americans in general are not Liberal or conservative, we are a mix of both. We are mostly in the center looking both ways, and the farther we look each way, the more distorted the view. So give all Americans "equal representation" by letting us choose the kind of issues most important, and let us decide who really has the needs of America in their best interest.
Republicans have their own Ideology, their own agenda, likewise the Democrats also have theirs, and that is why they are kissing our asses with empty promises election after election. They know most people will go to the polls and blindly check any name with a (D) next to it, or an (R), because that's the way we've always done it and we don't know any better.

These are an example of the feedback, the real concern for the issue, something I don't see in these "so called Political" blogs;

" The solution is, to stop letting "interest Groups" from either side dictate our policy. It is time to completely open up elections to Independent Parties by not giving the DNC and the RNC full reign on campaign procedure. Let others declare Candidacy and raise funds just as the Reps and Dems do. Let them have some media coverage, to express independent views. Let them debate the issues. Give Americans a chance to think for themselves, and encourage it."

"I would love to see that happen. But its hard for anybody to turn down money. And when you are running a campaign you need LOTS and LOTS of money to get elected. Or to even have a fighting chance at getting elected.
Maybe I am just getting too jaded in my old age."

" I don't want to "whine" about change. I want to incite ppl in America to do something. I have used every avenue I can to get the idea on the table. It seems an impossibility to most ppl, but actually we own the Government. We are the ones that continue to elect and re-elect the crooks in the White House and congress. It is our money they are bribing and abusing, and it's our power they are taking. It would take a long time to completely clear out all the garbage, but it can be done. One problem is that many Americans have enjoyed this game. They have gotten on one bandwagon or the other and basically letting their party take them for a ride. Ppl only listen to and believe what they are told by their side. The dangerous thing is that we aren't accomplishing anything. We really aren't getting anything of importance from this. If we all shut down the bias, and thought just for a bit for ourselves, we'd realize that each side has plenty to complain about the other side. Bottom line, neither side is succeeding in quality leadership. At this point, we are hanging by a thread. America as the worlds "super power" is going to go down, and it'll be our fault by not expecting the facts, not demanding that the Government give this country back to us. Instead, we watch it split into and make sure we are clinging to one side or the other."

Our two party system was a great idea for a time, along with our three different branches of Government. It is the Ideology split that is dividing us and causing the Nation to choose sides. By all having the same ultimant goal, the system wouldn't matter as much as the fact that the number one priority should be Governing the people (for the people). Making my views heard, is the best I can do right now. I don't have the financial resources on my own to begin to get the attention of enough people and try to motivate the rest of us to think. Finally, I shouldn't have to be a politician to expect a say in how my (and all Americans) elect leaders.

It isn't just "complaining", as I have said time and again. We have enough of that now. My goal is to try and get enough ppl to think about these things, so that maybe someday the number of ppl tired of things 'as is' will collectively bring about change.

The system is set right now. One person isn't going to stop the RNC and DNC from literally making election rules. As it is now, an Independent or third party can not even begin a fund raising campaign until a Rep and Dem nominee has been named. By that time, no one else has enough time or media coverage to raise enough campaign funds to compete with the main two parties so that they can qualify to participate even in debates.

Think of Ralph Nader, how the RNC and DNC and their pundants kept even a wealthy and well known man as he off the ballot in many States. A third party must get a certain percentage of signatures to be on the ballot. We saw how every signature was scrutinized and argued. How could I or anyone else have a chance unless all the voters took a look at how fixed the system is and demanded change. Then there are the caucuses and such. Kerry was nominated only because of the rivalry between Howard Dean and the rest of the candidates. Dean got smeared by the others, the RNC (digging up video of him talking about how useless the Iowa caucus was) and the media. So, then at the last minute, ppl in Iowa just randomly picked Kerry basically because he "looked" Presidential. Then, all other states that have a say, followed suit, just to portray a strong Dem Candidate. This is another flaw in the system. It isn't fair to give only some states the chance to decide a nominee. My state didn't have a say on who would be the Dem nominee. If we did, I guarantee it wouldn't have been Kerry.
This is not just me "bitching" about the other parties. This is about calling attention to the whole process, and how that every voter needs to feel they have a say, and that more than just a few shouldn't decide how all Americans think."

"I am all for an uprising. I would hope it wouldn't be a violent one, we have enough violence now. Unfortunately, I have found that a lot of people like this "game". People are totally ignorant to what their "fun and games" partisan rivalry will produce. They don't care that nothing of importance is being accomplished by either side. Keeping this ongoing rhetoric alive between two failed parties is going to cause us to destroy everything we have eventually. I'm afraid it won't be until then, that we see the uprising. Then they will want change, but it will be too late."

I thought I would focus on something other than Politics this time. I have spent a lot of my posting on Governmental change and Individual thinking. Surfing the blogs for BE and having to read all of the political blogs, I see that most bloggers want to take sides and enjoy the game of blame on one particular party or another. I don't think this represents a large portion of Americans, but most political bloggers blog because they want to promote their sides Ideology. I frankly think it is sad that there aren't more open minded bloggers when it comes to Politics. I do see more interest in thinking things out and discussing change in forums I read and post at. It is a more open relaxed atmosphere in that setting.
Not that I won't keep working on encouraging people to want real solutions in my blog, lol. I will keep pushing for it even if that is never popular with the majority of bloggers who focus on politics.

I took a little quiz today because the idea of what is normal? Or If there is such a thing, is another aspect of Human behavior that intrigues me. I guess it may be because I have never experienced normal myself, or what appears normal according to society. The Republicans have been unsuccessful in nearly every political talking point. There is no leadership. Someone should be ready to step up with real answers. Yet the democrats have wasted this whole time pointing fingers, drumming up conspiracy theories, and questioning policy instead of finding an alternative strategy. Don't you think it's time for someone to grow up and show real leadership potential for this country?
Don't you think it's time we voters demand it? I think we would do well to start making some changes. Stop letting far right or far left "Interest Groups" dictate to our Representatives on issues. Start looking for Independent Leaders who don't have an agenda besides providing solutions for our Country. Let's all start thinking for ourselves and show we aren't puppets of the political game!

Racism, Is their an agenda?

I hesitate to speak on this because surely my words will be twisted and distorted by some. However, I can not help but wonder if Black Activist Groups like "The Nation of Islam" and "The New Black Panther" movement along with Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson (who claim to be "Reverends")know exactly what the benefits are for them, the longer racism is kept alive.
I will not deny that there are still a small percentage of Americans, especially uneducated folks in the Southeastern U.S., who are truly racist. I have lived in an area the last 7 yrs. that to my dismay, still consider minorities in general as something to ridicule. I also realize that the progress that has been made has not been sufficient.
I think the progress our country has made over the last couple decades has been buried under a lot of the so called black leaders and activists' rhetoric. I believe this "reverse racist attitude" is only hindering and disrupting any progress being made.
These "sermons" from self proclaimed "spiritual" leaders that are involved in organizations that claim to be looking out for the Black (African American) community, taking contributions (which have been found many times to be mishandled), are saying that their goal is to end racism.
But, after all the efforts to create opportunity for minorities over the years through College funding, Inner-city programs for education, even to the point of initiating attempted retribution to families with a history of slavery in their ancestry and many other steps, why do organizations still persuade the African American community that the white man is still out to get them? Even Jesse Jacksons' "Rainbow Push" org. has been known to take contributions for programs that never amount to anything, especially in comparison to the amount of funds donated to a particular project. As an example, the drive to provide glasses and other basic needs to the inner city of Chicago. Out of the millions dollars thrown at his program, it has been said that about 36 children received glasses and few were helped at all. This is heresy to me because I am not in Chicago and have not seen proof behind this in particular.
Yet my point here is, What would happen if Americans did become equal? What if after so many Government and private programs funded to provide equal opportunity to African Americans, and minorities in general, there were no more excuses for any American, regardless of race, color or religion, not to succeed? I personally think we are well on our way toward that. What then? These activist, who are racist themselves in many orgs., would not be able to manipulate the black community or Americans in general, for more "fair" treatment. I say this, because they refuse to acknowledge progress already being made. These "leaders" cover progress with more incentive to incite African Americans to use the race card and in many cases, use discrimination to their benefit.
If the Government continually felt an obligation to provide welfare, medical benefits, housing, affirmative action (such as in the workplace and entitlement programs for free schooling) and these groups counteract that with more "programs" that beg for more money for resources coupled with brainwashing minorities to think all Americans are still against them, leadership in African American rights orgs. would lose their wealth and inner-city communities would still have no motivation to help themselves. That is the way these activists want it.
With all of the history of fraud related to Mr. Jackson and Mr. Sharpton and all of the complete racist bullshit leaders of organizations such as NOI and the Black Panters have dished out, I think it is time to re-assess the situation.
What I am saying has been evident in the Katrina catastophy, in the political "race game" Politicians play to get elected, and the presence of these African American icons, in every possible situation that can be exploited.

5) No foreign "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go some place else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them are stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH..learn it...or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan?

No major rant to post here, but I have a few things swimming in my mind right now. First, I want to apologize that on a couple of my post entries, somehow my comment settings got changed, possibly when I changed my layout. Not allowing comments was not intentional. I have it fixed now. Also, my last blog was a personal one, not what is my usual subject matter for most of my posts. I just have other thoughts at times I need to write besides just what's on my mind politically.
However, I do have a few random thoughts that concern me about politics that consistently seem to become more of a worry in my view.
Bush has let us down politically. He has taken bad advice about a lot of issues that seem to be only getting worse. I was glad he finally admitted responsibility about Katrina and actual got rid of someone instead of defending the actions of one of his appointments, which seems to be his normal response. However, I always felt that anyone in his shoes would have a hard time admitting a mistake in the midst of the cruelest of media and liberal critics of a President since Nixon. Admitting failure just brings pleasure to those that hate him anyway and either way, he will be criticized.
I also do not understand why things like abortion and religion have become the number one priority in politics. It seems that this war between far right Christians and far left secularist have dictated what the qualifications of a leader is. This has been the driving force with each election, and growing worse over the last couple decades. Meanwhile, nothing of any importance gets resolved.
We have no leadership. We have an administration that has put all their efforts into failing policies and will not correct its course. Yet, the only voices we hear are fingerpointers, the haters (that hated from the beginning), and all the special interest groups (who should not be allowed control over the government), along with the media and entertainment industry. Democrats seem to be controlled by partisans outside of the political realm. There is no one in the government standing up with any real answers, no one that is in a position to be considering the real problems and how to solve them, someone who could make a difference in the future.
The biggest mouths we are hearing are religious activist and bias liberals with so much hatred, filled of accusations and theories as to what is wrong with the administration, even to the point of obvious manipulation of hearsay and personal attacks.
Media, activist, and even bloggers seem not to really be aware that most average Americans are moderates, who just want honesty. Truthfully, the biggest majority of people, whether they are registered Republicans, Democrats or independents, want and need to hear the unbias truth.
Anger and this agenda to defame the Government, serves no purpose. All of the efforts to exploit lack of leadership, is also making our country, the Americans in our country and around the world vulnerable. Each extreme side is so concerned with their own agenda, that no one really cares about us, the people.
I want to be clear here. Opposition and disagreement is our right. It is good to be able to express ourselves. But lets not kid ourselves into thinking this is all that is taking place. "United we stand, divided we fall", and America IS going to fall! We are going to perminantly lose all our credibility, all our respect, all our strength as a country in the eyes of the world, including those countries that have wanted the power we have, wanted to bring us down but never could. We are bringing ourselves down.
We can't change the consequences of the wrong policies, the wrong choices already made in this administration. But, along with the need to point out those failures, we need someone with more than complaints, someone who can get past that, and cares enough about our country to have the solutions that will unite and strengthen us again. This has to happen soon. Senate elections in 2006 and the presidential election in 2008 is our last hope. Next election for president will represent new choices for both Dems and Reps. Are these loud mouths we are hearing from both extremes today going to influence our choices? Is it again going to be a choice between defending what has already been done, or promises of change with no platform to run on except "I'm not Bush"?
It is a sad and scary thought that our Government and those from our states sent to represent us do not care enough about real issues. We have elected congressmen who are arrogant, egotistical and who are playing sport with our country. Shame on any of our states who re-elect those types of leaders. Shame on us if we don't start now thinking about the motives of those who elect to lead this country. We have to be more aware and conserned with what a candidate can and will do for us, and progress past the days of going into the poll booth and blindly check all the Democrat or Republican choices just because "that's what we have always been". We don't have to be ignorant followers of this game.

Im 39 and I have gone through so many stages. I feel I have lived so many different lives, been through so many phases that I have seen too much. I wish I were naive again.

I grew up in a very suppressed and controlled home (too the extreme), followed by a suppressed and controlled marriage. I think I married young thinking I would be free. I was old fashion, influenced by religion, so I stayed in it for almost nine abusive yrs. Then I finally got free.

So, I set out to "find myself" and ended up experiencing just about everything. I found myself drawn to every crowd, living in everyone's shoes, just to see what it felt like, and to see if any fit. I went from religious, to party girl (loved to dance), to being on the verge of an alcoholic, drug experimentation (short and scary phase), to thinking I might be lesbian, then I realized I was probably bisexual. I got myself so confused.

What about God? Even if religion screwed me up, there had to be a God. How could I know what I was supposed to be for Him? What was my purpose for existing? It seemed like another suppression, someone I would never please.

My kids have been my life. No matter how crazy or wild my life got, I was just mom with the kids. I suppressed part of myself for them, many years. If nothing else, they were my purpose in life. If I wasn't sure who I was, at least I knew I was mom. If no one ever loved me, they would.

Now, after too much life, too much work (takes a lot of long hrs to make it when its just mom and kids), I broke down, just fell apart. I had complicated my life so bad. I thought too much, cared too much, tried too much.

My parents who had overprotected and controlled, said I did this to myself by not living the 'Christian life'. My ex-husband constantly tried to make ppl think I was a terrible mother and that's why I was in that situation. God? Where was he? My kids, hated not having the money I used to earn. My son left and lived with his dad, and my daughter took advantage of my lost, confused, medicated state. Love? That was one of the reasons I was broke down. What was left?

I have improved a lot over the years, but still can't erase all that I watched let me down. All of the things ppl tell you will keep you together, make you happy, betrayed me. I made so many mistakes, yes, and I have fully faced them, apologized for them, accepted the blame. But I am only human, and the world, family, love, God all look like cruel games to me if I think about it all.

So, I go through the motions. A mom of two teens, disabled, lonely, still wanting to be that old fashion girl where everything works, life fits together, love is real. People are sincere. God cares . My biggest fear is that it's too late to find that or that im right by thinking it doesn't exist.

The majority of people caught up in politics do not want to know the truth, the real truth, the whole truth. Otherwise people wouldn't be pulling stuff out of their asses to beef up the issues.
The only truth in a tragedy such as Katrina, are the people waist deep in toxic sewage water actually helping people, the ones who are opening their checkbooks, and their homes to people. If you can't open your heart, shut your mouth!!! I want to see Michael Moore swimming in that mess and sending a few million dollars of his 'smear' money to some of the victims. Then he can write all the 'open' letters he wants. If he wants to be open, get on TV and show me you give a shit by being in the shit!! That's to all you puppets out there too!!!!!
The whole Government fucked up, we'll deal with it all in time. If the whole truth is out, it's going to go straight over all the political activists, haters and partisans heads anyway.
Just keep proving my point with the politics game, and we will never fix anything in this country, it'll just keep getting worse. What? You can't handle the truth huh? It's more fun to ride on the big bandwagon!

Religious Propaganda

I feel I need to call attention to the false claims that some religious bloggers, other so called "Christian" programming and many perspectives given by so called "christians" in general.
I was raised in a "Christian" home. My mom is a fanatic, insanely religious. I grew up listening to the 700 club, Jimmy Swaggart, lets not forget the PTL Club, and other TV evangelists. I heard it in church and I heard it at home. I have been kicked out of my parents home in the middle of an emotional breakdown because my mother said that 'God told her' I was cursed for not following him and to help me would compromise her blessing from god for living "holy" The idea is, every good thing that comes, is a blessing from God when you are a Christian, and when bad things happen, it is the devil after your soul.
However, when a tragedy hits a person who is not in the "Christian circle", it is god trying to "show his power" to get your attention. I have heard it said during many catastrophe's in other poorer countries, that those things happen because that country worships other gods, and is corrupt.
They say in America, we are a blessed nation because the majority of the people here still worship the "Christian" god. Now, when a terrible natural disaster hits one of our cities, they point out that God is punishing them for how corrupt it is. The gay factor is mentioned in New Orleans and they say that is why San Francisco is next. They pluck out bible verses about the wrath of god.
Let me point out something to these people. First, if you want to pluck out particular verses in the bible, it also says that bad things "fall on the just and the unjust alike". Here is some news, there are many dead Christians laying in New Orleans, right next to the "sinners". The homeless, destitute people coming out of the rubble are of all beliefs, Christian, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, and atheist. How does that figure into this punishment sermon?
Better yet, all over this world, some of the most "blessed" people are the most crooked, ruthless, and heartless of us all. Some of the poorest, sickest and unlucky, non-church going people in the world are some of the ones who have the purest of hearts.
Amongst all of the other various opinions of the reasoning behind tragedy, this is the most disturbing. Making people think god sent this hurricane and flood to punish people and to prove god is in control is the most ignorant way to explain this.
It doesn't take a brain surgeon to see this. A "natural" disaster, or a spreading epidemic is brought on by the atmosphere, weather cycles and scientific patterns ect. Shit happens! That's the bottom line. I, for the life of me can't understand how anyone could be persuaded to follow or trust God, and believes he loves them after hearing this from you preachers, evangelists, and other "Christians". How can you teach "God is love" amid all of this rhetoric?
When people are down, and they feel a need to believe in something, someone who is there for them, looking out for them- when people need to have 'faith', the last thing they need is this garbage!
Lastly, I do want to say, that the real "believers" are the ones sending money, food, going there to help people in this time of need, opening their doors and churches to these people. I know there are many who are doing that, and that is the main duty of a Christian. All this damnation talk is not what Christ would be wasting time on, if he were walking the earth right now. The word "Christian" is supposed to mean "an example of Christ". Well Be one......Please!

I want to take a moment here to remind readers that though I may show strong opinion against a political agenda, a statement or a particular political policy in any given blog, I am an independent thinker. I think over the course of the blogging I've done here, it is clear that I follow no ones agenda, no certain sides' "talking points". If I am an activist about anything, it is for people to think on their own. Not by following everything their favorite form of media tells them (they are all bias; TV, newspapers, magazines ect.).
Even the internet is a place where one side can find all kinds of "proof" to prove they are correct, by providing links to several websites, (whether personal webpages, news op-eds, or news sites, using the same onesided ideology as TV news networks and reporters do), with which they agree. On the other hand, another person can use the same types of resources to "prove" that the exact opposite is true.
In politics, there is no way of obtaining all the true facts. C-span, Directly viewing live interviews with a given politician(study their body language, contradictions ect.), and mainly time itself, are the closest you will get to the true facts, motivation, agenda of a President, his administration, the republican or the Democratic party.
I blog according to what my senses tell me after all the rhetoric. If I don't see any strong facts either way, I wait and see. I do state the obvious. Sometimes that steps on the toes of one side or the other. I look from the middle outward in both directions, and the farther either way you look, the more nonsense you see.
Now, I am entitled to my own opinions and of course, I am not always on target. But I think and encourage others to think beyond "red" or "blue", Dem or rep. In fact, I think the two party system has gotten to a point where it is destroying the abiblity to have any real leadership. It has become a contest.
Before you question my political, social, moral, ethical standing, or tag a label on me, take a look back over my blog first, before you assume anything. I know that makes it hard, me not being on a team because one opinion doesn't automatically put me on your team or against it. I think it would be unfair, to question my motive on a particular issue without knowing the facts about me. Just as we shouldn't judge anything by only what we want to know.

A plea for Civility

Americans,
at this time of the worst tragedy our nation has known, please, let's draw the line here and not use this to make a political statement. Yes, it is so difficult to watch this and see things not happening fast enough. But yet, what would be fast enough? Even if all our troops and National Guards were home, even if the Federal government could take back all the money spent on the war and put it toward the food, water, shelter, clean up, re-construction and rebuilding of all those cities and towns that were devastated, we would still have an immediate dire situation. None of this could have made the flooding cease fast enough, stop the wind, eliminate the death, all of the crime or able enough boat and helicopter rescues. No matter how many resources you make available, they are of little use under water or in a mob of thousands of desperate people. People are so scared, homeless, starved, exhausted and some so ill, who could have prepared enough, quickly enough to make it all go away? Yet, most of us are judging this by what we see on TV, sitting there in our homes.
As I mentioned previously, the only political implications of this is negligence over a long period of time. All local, state and federal officials could have done more to maintain the infastructure over the years. It would have been great to have taken care of the obvious risks to the Gulf coast towns and especially protection of low lying areas such as New Orleans way before the storm.
But we look at the situation in Iraq, and don't see enough happening quickly there. It makes us angry and critical. We question why didn't they do this, and this. We can't go back now and correct all the mistakes, the things unexpected. We want something now. We want it to stop. We want solutions now.
A crisis can not be predicted in advance completely, no matter what different choices people could have made. We can't point the finger at why they can't control what's happening in another country who never had the charmed life of civil and sheltered America. Fact is, now we see that any human can find themselves scratching, even fighting for survival and facing the reality that we are all animals.

Who is Army Spc. Casey Sheehan?

I have came upon so many reports and quotes about and from Cindy Sheehan and her opinions on Politics, her own country empty of any revealence to her sons death. Her ideology on America, Israel, war and terrorism go so far beyond a grieving mother. Her links with the extreme left, the publicity, money and stage she has received to promote HER version of her sons death, have all but squeezed out any mention of the actual death of her son. She does not represent "the grieving mother" for her son at all. She represents everything that all the Far-left Advocates have spend billions on promoting. She has either became cheap advertisement for these groups, by chance, or she is using the death of her son as an advertising scheme herself. I would venture to say, she doesn't do all this for free. After reading several news articles, reporters findings on her, how involved politics is in all of this "grief", I had so much information I didn't know how to begin. Then I ran across this op-ed, and it pretty much summed it up for me.

****Just for the record, I have a son almost 17. If this tragic war doesn't end soon, the chances of him getting caught up in a Draft are terrifying. I am not for this war in the way it was handled. I think once they have some agreed upon form of Government, we need to get the hell out. Military wise, Iraqis' have obviously not been afraid of war or fighting or dying for Saddam, so If they want to defend themselves against THEIR opposition, they have had plenty of time to learn how. But if god forbid, my son died in this anyway, my grief and anger would focus on the death of my son. So, keep that in mind, so that I don't have to repeat my defenses over and over in your comments to this.

"The Absolute Moral Degeneracy of Cindy Sheehan"
IT ALL BEGAN AS IT TOO OFTEN DOES, WITH THE BARREN MAUREEN DOWD searching out still more ideological children who were not cats. In her usual frantic keyboarding, where she constantly demonstrates the ability to type faster than she can think, Dowd pushed out, at some effort, the phrase "absolute moral authority" in describing this ruined woman's quest to get the Celebrity Spotlight on "Me-Me-Me."

This simple, ham-handed cliche launched a thousand cameras and, Shazam!, we've had the Cindy Show, live and not-so-very live, pulsed up from the drainage ditches of Crawford, Texas for the last fortnight. And as always with such media inspired circuses, the usual rag-tag assembly of carping Americans kept dragging in like the rusty, dusty and doomed cast of Carnevale. Crosses were planted. Signs were scrawled or printed and then waved. Banner farms proliferated. Video pundits opined and Oprahettes actually visited to book some compassionate face time with Cindy and the cameras. Hosannas were raised. Editorials scribbled. "Sensitive" interviews performed.

Slowly, a shimmering media glow emerged from Cindy Sheehan as her ability to cry on cue and on camera was being honed. It was like watching a strange simulacra of Bill Clinton and John Kerry emerge from the Mothership in "Close Encounters."

In the end, we had a lovingly sculpted statue of noble suffering lifting her lamp of perfect peace outside the golden door of a better, finer, brighter America that was just, as always, over the far horizon. We had before us a single woman, one of the millions of mothers who have lost sons in all of America's wars, as "Saint Cindy," a Barbara Fritchie in Birkenstocks.

Once this new, improved Cindy was unveiled, we began to see more and more pictures taken from the side and slightly below so that her noble visage etched with suffering might loom larger, might seem to tower into the sky above as she waited, holding her breath and stamping her feet on the mud below. Somewhere in the shadowed background of her Grand Guignol more crosses were being hammered together and having names scribbled on them to be planted, like odious toadstools, in a weedy lot just down the road. It was all just another shabby Leftist set-piece from their inventory of dull exhibits similar to the stuffed mammoths seen behind glass at the Museum of Natural History. Except the whole scene had become the Left's stale revision of the Terry Schiavo scene earlier this year, complete with the full flock of media vultures. To complete the farce, Joan Baez walked on stage and began strumming. Kum ba yah, baby, Kum ba yah.

It wasn't hard to see the Schiavo Circus Redux in this spectacle. It was, absent the slant of the True Believers, pretty much the same in every regard. The only difference was that here we had a woman on moral life support kept upright only by the continual infusion of attention to her own personal suffering that she had chosen to make into a national political spectacle. As such all those who chose to pay attention to it (and there was little way of escaping it short of retiring to a monastery), were hit again and again with the endless damp acknowledgments of her "suffering." It didn't matter if you were for or against the war, it was mandatory that you state your sympathy for "this woman's terrible loss" and affirm that you could not possibly understand her grief without a similar loss. That these assertions were patently false did not diminish the iron-clad requirement for stating them. They became, quickly, the easiest thing in the stories to just glide right over since, right or left, they were such obvious blather. Cindy and her ilk enjoyed them. They were insincere but they were tasty just the same.

But, just as the media glow given to Cindy was at its brightest, the inevitable started to happen. Emerging in the background and, as usual, on the blogs, we learned some rather unsavory details about Cindy Sheehan's long love affair with a politics that would have revolted her dead son. We began to see she was not really honoring her son's memory, but using it.

We began to learn details about her less than noble ideals concerning the fate of Israel, and all politically incorrect others that the Left would gladly send packing from the face of the Earth, if they could only get someone else to make the bombs and pull the triggers. And we began to understand, just a little at first, but with ever growing clarity that what we were seeing was not a mother lost in grief, but a woman who had fallen deeply in love with her son's death and all the wonderful things it could do for her ego. Her son had become just a tool for the advancement of her own poisonous politics. His heroic death had allowed her, as nothing else in her life would have allowed her, to rise from obscurity and be launched into that brief and burning sub-orbit of "Today's media darling" according to, well, the Today Show itself.

Her son had died for a country that, we discovered, she had long despised and which now, in the main, despised her. Her family had denounced her. Her husband had walked away from her ever-expanding bad craziness. For all that is known, the stress of having a daughter glorified and vilified contributed to the stroke of her mother.

All this had happened and, if it were not for the media and the minions of moveon, Cindy would have been a broken and lonely woman. Only by pimping her son's death endlessly to any camera that would focus on her, to any show that would have her on, did Cindy find and keep her precious self-validation whole. And it was "My Precious" to Cindy because, at last, she had become 'real.'

Cindy was real because she had been on television telling her tale of grief, over and over, weeping, over and over, and all the time swearing the one thing that all scoundrels swear when they are working night and day for themselves -- "It's not about Me, it is about My son, My child, My baby." I'm sure we'll see that, in some variation, as Chapter 1, Sentence 1 in the forthcoming Cindy book and made for TV Cindy movie. They will be along in good time. They always are.

I've seen reports from many that as soon as summer is over it will be the end of The Cindy Show as the vultures rise up from the trees above the Crawford circus camp and glide away to the next 24/7 News miracle; that soon it will be "Cindy Who?" That's not true. Cindy has risen beyond our mortal plane, and, by injecting her personal tragedy and metastasizing mania into the cerebral cortex of the country, we'll always remember "The Summer of Cindy." Our shame is that we'll remember it as a nation long after we've forgotten the name of her heroic son and the brave and selfless manner in which he gave "the last full measure of devotion." He was the man known as "Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004."

So spare me the pleas for sympathy and the nickel-and-dime condemnations from barren and arid souls who can no longer comprehend the meaning of Duty, Honor, and Country because they have none of them. Ask me not for a feigned compassion for this disturbed female narcissist. I have reached the outer realms of compassion fatigue with this latest ghoul raised up out of the Sixties cemetery.

I'm saving my compassion and praise and prayers for the soul of the man known as "Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004." Died for his country, died for his ideals, and died trying to rescue his friends and brothers-in-arms. Died, indeed, to defend the right of his mother to use him as a tool to advance political ideas he never would have agreed with. At the start of "The Cindy Show," I was amused. Now I'm just disgusted. It disgusts me that Army Spc. Casey Sheehan also died so that his own mother, Cindy Sheehan, could use him as a stepping stone to her own proto-celebrity; as a way for her to drink deep at the fountain of perpetual funding.

It is not unusual in this culture for people to use friends, family and others as stepping stones in search of celebrity. Becoming a celebrity, even for an instant, is a common hunger in this besotted era, and with the right words and the right angle, the media is always ready to oblige. And oblige. And oblige. Especially if you use a whole new stepping stone to climb on wagon of celebrity, your dead son.

And spare me the self-righteous moans that Cindy was only doing what she believed in and had no inkling that there could be a cornucopia of cash and publicity in it for her. This, as they say, was not Cindy's first rodeo. Cindy Sheehan and her handlers have played the media like a flatulent tuba, and they have achieved their dream. In doing so they believe, in their clouded minds, that they have also achieved "absolute moral authority." In the deepest pit of his utter degeneration, the Marquis de Sade believed the same thing. He too was fundamentally insane. He too got his books published and his "Passion Plays" performed.

You know, for so many years before Bush was president, politicians really planned ahead, had good solid judgment, saw the needs of our country and met them. The administrations before, along with the congress passed so much good legislation. Pork barrel spending was only for the needs of the people of their state. States used all those billions of tax dollars to improve the environment, conserve energy, stop the pollution, maintain and improve the infrastructure of roads, repair unsafe and decaying levees and electrical grids.
Foreign Policy was smart and well calculated. We didn't kiss the asses of rouge Nations and deal in providing fire arms and weapons to questionable forces only to continue getting the oil we needed. We realized how dangerous being dependent on other countries for oil would harm us in the long run. Other presidents were well on the way to putting all their resources into other means of fuel. Terrorism didn't exist. Osama Bin laden was no threat. We weren't so naive as to trust Saddam with weapons to go to war with countries like Iran without knowing we were doing the smart thing. No other president would ever bomb countries like Iraq, Bosnia ect without the full consent of the United Nations.
Weapons of mass destruction? No other politician ever thought there was any threat to us or anyone by knowing Saddam had them. It never was mentioned by all those Senators or surely not any president until Bush. Besides, we kept Saddam under control with all those oil for food sanctions. Now that was a great solution to keep WMDs' under control. Iraq lived in peace. Those sanctions were never abused. People had plenty of food and medicine, even the Shiites and Kurds were treated with much respect. Everyone benefited from that program. Death and the slaughter of innocent people was no big deal in Iraq under Saddam.
immigration illegally in the U.S. was totally under control. Besides, those that did come into the country needed jobs and we had so many. Corporations weren't hiring them just to keep from providing good pay and benefits, Americans just weren't interested. They were no burden on the economy. The Governmental help agencies such as welfare, Medicaid and food programs were never put in a bind financially. The education system didn't suffer any extra expense. Prisons didn't overcrowd with illegals who came here and committed terrible crimes. So, there never was a growing need to solve the problem.
In fact there were no "growing" needs. The environment was never in any dire danger in the many years before Bush. Other polititians took every opportunity to see that any environmental, immigration, or foreign relations would never pose a problem in the future. Social Security would be taken care of, someday.
Polititians never did anything only for political gain. Lying to the American people was never heard of. Scandals were something we never had to deal with. There were no signs of Global Warming that weren't handled promptly. Every other polititian would surely make a public speech of remorse and humble apology, if ever they had made any bad judgments.
Scientific progression most certainly was known to be something to pour money into without hesitation, no matter how little we really knew of the outcome. I mean, scientific studies on animals always proved to be an accurate assessment. No reason not to go ahead and use an unlimited supply of human embryos. Goodness knows, humans know where to draw the line. Shame on Bush for appointing judges who personally disagree with abortion. After all, that issue is so high in priority. It is surely the deciding factor on the character of any decision maker,That and of course saving the wildlife creatures and animal preservation.
Suddenly, George Bush becomes president and all hell breaks lose. It is his fault we have an immigration problem. It is he who caused the environmental hazards. He broke all the rules and began kissing up to countries for oil. He is the culprit who doesn't condone privacy rights for Americans, especially children. Why should he think they shouldn't have the right to abortions on demand without consent. Children should have as much right as women to destroy a living creature, unless it is a four legged animal. How dare he want to invade our privacy and give power to the C.I.A. and F.B.I. to look at our library history and search our homes. I know they have nothing better to do with that silly thing nasty old Ashcroft came up with. Never in history were they watching our every move if the Government wanted to right?
Judges have never before abused their power by being led by their own ideology. Only right-wing conservatives do that.
What about this recent disaster, the greatest in our countries history probably? No wonder people don't want to help, we have spent all our money on this war. But ultra-liberals have had good reason to raise billions and billions of dollars for special interest groups to smear the government. That was money well spent. If Bush weren't president, we wouldn't even be having these natural disasters and failings in our infastructure to protect us. Right? I trust that you know satire when you see it.

Civil Libertarians are reaching insanity!! Like it or not. Agree with me or not, I'm only stating the facts as they are. When you're at the point where people of these organizations and those that buy into this philosophy, which is at the point of an extreme lack of common sense, I seriously feel there has got to be something wrong with their brain. The point we are at is where these people are actually rallying against something as simple as more closed circuit cameras on streets around subways and transit services. Something that is obviously helpful as in the bombings in London.
For Christs' sake, we already use, and have used video cameras and such at public places everywhere for a long while. What is the problem all of a sudden? I mean it's a joke how protective people can suddenly get over a library card. They may come up with some lame argument over things like that, but this is just pure rebellion against any attempt at fighting terror. These people have some personal issues with any authority.
I don't know what I'm talking about? What do I know about why these "libertarians" have these arguments? Put it this way. Don't tell me we should "go" when the light is red or "stop" on green. Common sense with a question mark at its truest form.

I was watching a special last night on A&E about the death of Brian Deneke. I had heard about it back when it happened, but never really took note of the facts around his death. It really hit home with me because I always told my kids first of all to be themselves, secondly that you can't judge people by whats on the outside, but by whats inside.
When my daughter started in her teens, she basically had strange taste in clothing and make-up. I at first discouraged her from looking so different because I told her she would get teased and made fun of. She quickly reminded me of what I had taught her all her life about being herself and how people should judge her by who she is. We live in a small backwards town in Ky, alot like Amarillo Tx. only smaller and worse. So everyday, I worried that I would get a call from school that she had gotten beat up, and every weekend when I dropped her off at the skating rink I feared she'd be jumped and beat.
She never got physically hit, but she got threatened every day. What was worse was, every time anything happened in the school that went unsolved (an anonymous threatening letter to a student, a teachers jewelry got stolen ect) my daughter would be blamed. There would be no proof, except her being present at school. One teacher called me in almost everyday with a list of not only grades from his class but all her teachers and would try and make some case agaisnt her, making absolutely no sense. He even confiscated one of her notebooks once that she also used at home to scribble on. He frantically pointed out that she had used the word "fag". Then he tried to say that some of the stuff in there were assignments she just refused to turn in. I knew better because, they were songs and writings that she had shown me.
There was a really huge ordeal when I tried to take her out and home school her. I ended up in court. It was such a mess, I won't even go into it. She was also on the internet one day and a girl starts messaging her, really friendly, and my daughter tries to figure out who it is. Finally the girl lets her know who it is, and its someone who had been threatening her at school. We had no idea how she got my daughters screen name. So this girl found ways to harass her everytime she got on the net. She kept trying to get my daughter to meet her at the theater.
I worried this whole time, and was so relieved when she was out of public school. I have a son 16 yrs old in public school, but he totally blends in naturally. My daughter is still a "misfit" but she has a whole group of friends just like her and is popular. They are all great kids too.
But growing up is hard enough for kids. It is sad when the rich jocks and cheerleaders are allowed to pick on the poor, punkers, rockers, geeks and other misfits. Especially to the point where as in Brian Denekes case, he was ran over with a car by a jock just because of the way he looked. Even sadder, Adults on a jury gave Dustin Camp, the jock that crushed him under his Cadillac, probation all because the way Deneke dressed. They even held the clothes Deneke was wearing up in court to show the jury how "unjock" he was. Dustin got off for killing the weird guy. Some people outraged by this questioned the jury about what would have happened if it were the other way around and Brian had ran over Dustin. They blatantly said they would have given Brian life in prison. They felt that in an indirect way Dustin had almost done the town a service. That's really sad that adults especially, thought that way, just because a guy had a Mohawk and liked Punk music.

This is a comment to a bloggers entry about UNcelebrating Independence day. I had listened to so much of the Anti-war anti-bush people saying things like we can't celebrate anymore because we aren't the same America. Then I read a blog along the same lines and I had to comment becaue it is so untrue. The war and Bush can't take away our counrty, that's ridiculous

I love my country now as always. This country has always changed. We have had bad policies, wars, discriminations, inequality, religious nuts and I could go on forever. Also, all our presidents haven't been saints until now either. But yet this is my country. I am still free. Free to express myself like every other idiot is total free to express themselves and call people names, burn flags, go around the world and talk shit about our country. We all have our rights! We have our right to be religious nuts or just have spiritual beliefs we keep to ourselves. We have freedom of the press, so any old journalist can write any piece of shit op-ed he/she pleases. Any moron can write a book or make a movie slamming anyone they choose. We can blog about any policy and "conspiracy theory" we want. We can call anything fact that we want and we can call anything or anyone a liar that we choose. We have a free society where we can choose our own destiny. We can become whatever we want. So, you go ahead and write your sob stories all you who thing that suddenly America is this awful place. But I bet you enjoyed your steaks, hotdogs and baked beans, potato salad and hanging out with friends and family, throwing back a few brewskys maybe huh? Did you sit in the house and sulk for the four of July? This kind of "fad" comes from the most ungrateful generation we have ever seen so far.

Yeah, yesterday was the fouth of July, Independence day. I didn't do anything special, just ate a lot, shot off a few rockets. I hope everyone had a really fun and safe time.
Today has been interesting. I have been surfing the blogs. It seems that Independence day is different according if you are an extreme conservative or extreme liberal.
It seems that The liberals (some, just the flaky extreme ones I read) feel they didn't have an Independence day. Nope, apparently since independence means "freedoms", they had nothing to celebrate because The republicans took advantage and abused all our freedoms. Gee, I'd like to be a mesquite out by the pool watching to see if they enjoyed a nice big thick hamburger or juicy steak with all their friends and threw back a few cold ones. Makes you want to cry. No, they were probably inside pacing the floors over their Library card.
Of course the Conservatives, they think the liberals snatched all their freedoms away. Religious freedoms, freedom to be patriotic about our country, freedom to let republican change the country. One blog started with "Happy Independence Day!" unless you are a Liberal the n I guess it's "Happy Satans Birthday" or something like that!
More and more, Im having a hard time hiding my cynicsm. This sandbox fight is embarrassing, not just to us who see it for what it is, but because we know the rest of the word sees it. No matter whatever Bush has done to make Countries hate him or laugh at him, he will be gone in three and a half years. The dangerously lethal empty headed rhetoric coming from our representitives and yes, these blogs too, will do much harm. The more time we spend name calling and drawing up theories of conspiacy against on another, thats less time spent doing something to change things for the better of the future of our children. Remember them?

Ok, I love to blog. I love my comments and remarks even if I don't agree. I have been lucky I haven't had many only a couple comments below the belt. To the best of my knowledge, I have not resorted to picking apart someone's grammar or worse yet, childish name calling such as "moron" or "Idiot" to speak my point.
Well, when I have to surf other blogs, for blog explosion for example to gain readers, I occasionally comment even though It goes over my thirty second time. Well, I'm amazed at the way people respond to my comments. Yes, I may disagree and make it clear their point is unfounded IMO. But I do so with no attack on their person. But as an example, just now as I was surfing through, I came across a blog. I remembered commenting several days before on one of the entries. I found the post. I had made the comment, he had retorted with a jab at my misspelling of my favorite "artists". I wasn't certain what he meant, but reminded him of a truth, that psychologically one way of rebuttal in an argument is to detour the subject and go for a personal attack.
Well today, he informed me that the "Artist" he was referring to were favorite bands I had listed in my old profile lol. He even named them. There were about five. This is trivial, I realize. But who goes into ones profile and gathers spelling mistakes as a response to a political comment? Then he called me a moron. He then said "red" states have been proven to be less intelligent than "blue". First of all, I have only been in this "red" state about six years. I am born, bred and raised from Detroit Michigan! Secondly, it doesn't matter where I am, I am not "red" or "blue"! Anyone that reads this blog fairly often knows I despise the whole idea. I told him, I think for myself, not some color.
I'm sure he will have another juvenile comment posted next time I pass by. Maybe he'll come through here looking for grammar errors and read this and know where this bitch is coming from!

Wait -n- See

Honestly I haven't really been able to get into my blog lately. I have other things going on in my mind that have taken hold. I guess Im not a multi-tasker lol. But at any rate, whether it be in my personal life or if it be in how I feel about what is happening in politics, my feeling is wait it out. I have no answer, no conclusion. Things seem to be hanging in the balance as far as filling the seat of the Supreme Court Judge, Iraq is still a mystery as far as its progress, Gimo has had some senators visit and come back saying it was a "model prison". Judge Confirmation has went well, so far.
I have read some other blogs that have spent some time summarizing and coming to conclusions on their own. Maybe some are bored because bad things aren't happening as fast or as often as they would like. But around the PC, the story has it that between Tom Delay, Donald Rumsfeld, all the lies of GW that we have heard a million times over,and don't forget the Downing street copies of memos that were carelessly left flying around before Blares re-election containing info on how they were going to deceive all of America and Britain to allow them to kill of thousands of people. Imagine, writing memos on something of the magnitude? Now the uncovering of Carl Rove as the "leaker", we might get to make a case for impeachment out of all this.
But as I say, I'M in this mode where I look at all this and all I can say is, I'll just wait it out. Some one wake me when court procedures start and someone lies under oath.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that our government can track a cow born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she sleeps in the state of Washington And they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give them all a cow.

I watched Bushs' speech last night. I was fairly drunk but I am sure I got most of it lol. I know that he seems to really care about the soldiers (which is more than I can say for a lot of Americans and even some Senators). I think he was clear about why he feels it is important to be there even though there were no WMDs'. I heard him paint a fairly gruesome picture of how violent things are, so I don't think he is trying to hide that fact. I also think he was very clear on what steps are being taken to get the job done so this can end. I agree that it is pure ignorance to think you can stamp a due date on a war.
A lot of people were wondering why he didn't answer to the differences between what Cheney said and what Rumsfeld said about how long this will last. Fist of all, It isn't his place to answer for their stupid statements. Secondly, Bushs' mistake was not firing Rumsfeld when he could have.
So far I have read that the optimistic outlook heard last night was bullshit and there will be no peace and there will only be more bloodshed. If that's how people want to tear themselves in knots boiling over about fine, let them. Fact is, we can't fucking leave! Whether Al quota was there before or not doesn't matter. They are there now. If we leave all those leftovers from Saddam, the terrorist and the idiots from Syria will make sure a real nice government is set up for sure! Yeah right! Then every single one of the approx 7000 men WILL surely have died in vain.
Im tired too about the people who actually expected Bush to have gotten up there last night before all the military, their families and all of Iraq and America and Fucking apologize for this Damn war!!!! Who would ever do this? Any Democrat?? NO!!! Oh would everyone feel better about Bush if he would "be a man" and say he is sorry? Hell no!!!!!! Also, what of Clinton who wanted the war? What about the UN who voted unanimously to hold Saddam accountable for his actions if he didn't comply. Trouble was when he wouldn't comply and it came down to holding him accountable, a few countries felt it wasn't in their "best interest" to take Saddam down. Now we know why. Has anyone read the quotes from Senators like John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, and many others from back in the Clinton presidency-did you get that? Pre Bush- concerning Saddam and his capacity to attack with WMDs' and how his regime needs to be brought down????? Do all these people and more, many more need to apologize for ""lying"" about WMDs'?
George has goofed up this war in many ways and things could have went a lot smoother and faster. He (the big murdering monster that he is) should have done away with people like Bremmer, Rumsfeld, not trusted Chalabi (sp?). If he was a Hitler, he should have gotten rid of the ones dragging him down lol. Yeah, and where's that oil? Damn it, we need it!!!! De-evolution

Some people will think Im absolutely ignorant for this, but I do not believe in evolution. I know all the Science Buffs can say Im wrong and point to exhibit A and how it was formed billions and billions of years ago. The fossils found have shown different stages of life and all that.
One thing I know, in my almost 40 yrs is that Science has retracted and changed on other things and that it isn't exact. Also, if there was evolution then, it should be ongoing right? Well, I don't see that. I see it regressing. Man in its "evolved form" stayed relatively the same until the last century and a half. Technology has progressed rapidly and a lot of new inventions have come about. That's great, but does it mean we are progressing? Are we really smarter?
I don't think we have done anything to enhance our existence. In fact, the opposite. Technology is causing us to use less of our brain cells, and be dependent on things like calculators, machines, Computers. Television, video games along with remote controls and high producing machinery doing our work for us is hurting us physically. Then there is a major invention, the automobile that is polluting the air, depleting the ozone layer. A lot of the factories that these wonderful intelligent minds have invented are constructed in are also polluting the air, depleting the ozone layer. We now are experiencing global warming, internet fraud, child porn via the web, lack of a good days work, dumbing down our brains, and slowly destroying ourselves and the earth.
There was a time when a man and a woman did stand tall. They had dignity, and raised their children proper along with a respect for the adults who raised them and tended to them. They knew how to disagree with their fellow citizens. They knew what civil discourse was. They knew, even at the Boston Tea Party how to make a statement without looking like they were less than human. They rallied against the government not nit picked and name called to each other.
Look at us now? How long will our Government last before we have Anarchy? How long will our Earth last? How long will we last? Is this evolution?

Ok, I am going to have to take a minute of my time away from Politics to rant, I'm aftraid.
You know with Blog Explosion I have to surf blogs alot. I usually stop to read any I find interesting and even comment if I have one. This is what I have found however that has jumped on my last nerve;
-Blogs that rant and rave their opinions along with character assassinations of people they know nothing of- yet, they do not accept comments.
-Blogs that rant and rave their opinions along with character assassinations of people they know nothing of- who accept comments BUT only from their members
-Blogs where people are allowed to preach and pound the bible while at the same time discriminate using the most disgusting hate speech I've ever heard and the worse bigotry.
-Last but certainly not least, blogs where you have to give everything but your bra size to give a comment first of all. Then I give a comment on one small part of the entry. I make it clear what my question is or what I disagree with. Shortly, I begin getting e-mails from irate bloggers, of which I have never been in their business, being smartasses to me for no reason. One just told me I belonged in Iraq, and the blog entry in question I hadn't even mentioned whether the war was good or bad.

So much for civil discourse and debate huh?

Ok, now this is a local problem having to do with the road conditions, lacks construction warnings, and just plain uneducated drivers. I live in rural Kentucky. I was born just outside of Detroit and have lived in Orlando Fl. most of my adult life but moved here about six years ago. As an outsider here, it isn't easy for me to try and make any changes.
My main concern is that I have two teenagers learning how to drive (god help me) in this disaster they call traffic. No one seems to know who has the right of way at a traffic light. Half the time people will turn left in front of you when you are going straight. At a four way stop? LOL, it is laughable. I have to direct traffic with my hand out the window of my car. Then there are the roads. Apparently when the rural area roads were made, most people wouldn't give up even a corner or their land, that they never did or will need or use, so the roads could go through. So we have a whole series of now just curves and winding roads, but totally blind curves. Oh and these roads are just big enough for two cars to pass by inches. I have passed people before and slapped rear-view mirrors with them. God forbid they have a hummer or something. Of course these rednecks love there bid Dooley trucks! Many, many places you have to play chicken to see who will pull off the road a bit to let the other have room (Im always the chicken). Sometimes there is no side of the road! Imagine backing up in the middle of a fairly busy road to find a place to pull of.
Then there is those men who are working on a particular part of the road (not to widen it mind you), who knows what they are doing and it is worse when they are done. But you know the orange cones, and the diamond shaped orange signs that say "construction x amount of miles"? They dont have those here! I'll be driving along in a hurry usually, probably speeding and then errrrrrt!!!! a man is practically on the hood of my car waving his hand with a little pole in the other hand that has a little sign on the top that says "stop". Then he say to turn around in the road and go back. WHAT????? Where ever I am going at the time, even if its an appointment, is just too bad.
I'll admit, I drive pretty crazy. I speed as fast as I can and still maneuver the curves, especially on the "main" roads. But in the six yrs I've been here (knock on wood), I have not gotten one ticket. I even almost ran into a cop as I was going around a blind curve and he was pulling out. He just did the "shame shame" sign to me LOL.
OK I said all of that to say this. I want to call attention to this. People here die in car accidents every week. In this little town alone someone gets in a major Car wreck at least once a week. I thought about starting this volunteer organization of one (me), and as the President, going to the local paper and taking out a full page ad about safety on our roads. I'd go to the library and get some statistics on how many have died in crashes here in the last year or some stuff like that and kind of nicely mention just how stupid these people are without actually seeming to. My only other option was to type up a letter and put all the stuff that is wrong here, and either mail it to everyone in this town or post it everywhere I can without needing permission. These people do not like being told how to do things, especially from a "yankee" like me. Those are my only ideas though, or just stay on my knees and pray to god that my kids live to give me grandchildren. If you have an idea, please help! Thanks!

Victims' Mother Convicted

I usually don't like to go with the flow and write on the same subject I see on every other blog. Yet, in the MJ verdict, I guess I need to rant.
first of all, we have a situation where a jury has seen that the defendant has hundreds of crazy fans from all over the world, starting from the SUV dance before they were ever picked to serve until the day of the verdict. During the trial, these people took their lunches outside separated only by a fence from these loons. Of course the hecklers knew when the jurors were out there and their shouting and chanting would elevate. That's pressure knowing that if you convict this man, everyone will know who you are when its over, even the nutjobs like the dingbat releasing doves with every "not guilty" verdict from a cage she had sitting there in the hot sun with her. Not to mention BJ the dude from Tennessee who got a restraining order slapped on him for threatening one of the Court TV reporters. Then there is all those that bawled and cried and acted like a bunched "holy rollers" in some Church dancing around crying and hugging each other, singing victory songs. Damn, you'd think it was their son or brother or someone in their family in there.
Chances of death threats would be great. As soon as the announcement was made that a verdict would be given in an hour (which ended up being an hour and fourty-five minutes cause MJ just couldn't make it on time) The police spent that time getting riot gear together and their forces doubled.
Now, besides any fears the jurors may have had, which I can almost understand, listening to them give their reasoning to me sounded inexcusable. "What kind of mother would just hand their son over to anyone and let them sleep with a grown man?" one juror. "We could tell his mothers testimony contained a lot of inconsistencies and lies and that she was just not an honest person" And so it went on and on. Some even thought he probably has molested children but they thought this case was a lie because of the mother.
Fuck the mother!!! If he molested, he did it regardless if she was a sociopath or an angel!!! Did they not listen to the child plus the other boys including the young man from '93 who was not getting a dime to come back and testify and basically didn't want to relive it, cried and retold his nightmare. What about the books with the pictures of naked boys in MJ's bedroom? Screw whoever has a so called axe to grind or who wants money. If there are things unexplainable, which there were, why let a pediphile go because he has a fucked up mother? Now, as for me, I could sleep better at night wondering if some wacko jacko fan wants me dead, than to try and sleep knowing I've probably let a pediphle go free on my conscience. The next boy with dark hair, poor, from a dysfunctional family that spends a few months a Neverland Ranch is on the heads of that shitty spineless jury.

An Effort Toward safe sex LOL

Do you people really see it that way? Do you think that this Fight against the terrorist that have cells all over the world and who's mission is to destroy all Jews and Christians (friends of the people of Israel) is just a front so we can discriminate for no reason???? I believe your statement that you have no political agenda is the front here. You have a totally Liberal/Libertarian set of principle you are trying to activate.
Now Im sure there have been mistreated by a small number of our troops, but for some reason there are a number of you folks that have tunnel vision and don't seem to want to see the whole picture.

Did you guys go there and make some big statement?? How about when Saddam was lining people up blindfolded with holes dug infront of them so that when he gave the order, his men would shoot their brains out and they would fall in the hole and be covered up with sand. Were you people busy writing your little statements??? How about Pakastastain? Afganistain? Dulfar? Sudan? Where were you when we were giving our lives to help all those people??? Who has done more when there is a crisis in this world to help???? But yet we are a bunch of war criminals. I don't care for Rumsfeld, but I don't think Bush is a big Pitbull and I don't think with as many people we have in our Congress, if anything REAL was going on it would be the partisan bickering that it is. If someone really knew something, they would send someone down there to get proof, discreetly. There are only a few ways to know a secret, it doesn't just fall in your lap. What falls in your lap is a rumor that makes a good cheap shot against the opposite side your on.

Trying to Look Past My World

I've been wanting to write an entry in here the last several days. I haven't been able to get my head in gear or really connect to the worlds problems however due to my own concerns in my little world. I have an 18yr old daughter who is trying to make every wrong decision she can possibly make. The frustrating thing is she knows she is screwing up but she says it's just "something she has to do". It is obvious she will be the type to have to learn lessons the hard way and watching her quite frankly, is killing me.
The only thing I really have on my mind politically is this Howard Dean thing. It is really causing division and he seems to care less. Those that have tried to reason with him he has basically said a big fuck you to. Then the ones who try and explain away what he's doing by saying "we all make mistake in what we say, he is doing a great job" look like idiots when Dean himself will say he made no mistakes and we all know he isn't doing a good job, he isn't even raising as much funds for the Democratic party and the Republicans are. That is a surprise because I think that is one reason he got the job.
Personally, I am so against the two party politics anymore that I hope he destroys the democratic party, and I hope all the shit going on in the republican party explodes and by the 2008 a strong, independent, unbias, man/woman with common sense and a determination to uphold the constitution and the rights of everyone, not just activists, lobbyist and corporations will emerge and start us on a new track with a positive outlook on the political spectrum.

First, Newsweek pulled a Dan Rather on us, running a fabricated story just because they wanted it to be true. They told the world that an American guard at the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, detention center had ripped pages from a prisoner's Koran and flushed it down a toilet. As a result, innocent people died when practitioners of Islam rioted in protest in Afghanistan.

Oops, said Newsweek, it seems we can't back up our story. Oh well, it's probably true; we just can't prove it. (Isn't it convenient for Newsweek that the media now have "Deep Throat" to talk about so they can revel in their glory days and divert our attention from their criminal negligence.)

The lie heard round the world about the flushed Koran has caused convulsions in the Bush Administration and forced the Pentagon to launch an investigation of unfounded allegations contained in an unsubstantiated story. The results of said investigation are now in, and it seems there are at least five incidents of "mishandling" of the Koran at Gitmo.

Well, guess what? I don't care!

Are we fighting a global war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001? They may have gotten away with it in '93 and '98, but not three times. Weren't people from all over the world, not just Americans, brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, in our Department of Defense, and in a field in Pennsylvania? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a capital crime in Saudi Arabia.

I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling, slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of seventy-two virgins and rivers of wine care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

I'll care when Clinton-appointed judges stop ordering my government to release photos of the abuses at Abu Ghraib, which are sure to set off the Islamic extremists just as Newsweek's lies did a few weeks ago.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a fraternity hazing incident, truly believe that I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don't care.

I don't know how you feel about this, but if someone wants to prove something to me, a website is not going to do it. There is a man in an online debate group that I participated in for over a year who could always whip out a whole list of websites as his argument. Most others in the group would look at the sites and be convinced that he was correct. But this Can't be true. The only advantage he had was that he had prepared for these arguments by collecting the exact websites that agreed with him. He also was a conspiracy theorist with an agenda. He kept his nose in the internet constantly. He claimed to have "underground connections" of what was really going on in our government. By the way, he lived in Canada. He claimed to have access to websites that we didn't. But the fact was, he had websites that contained people claiming the same far-left, so far gone looney kinda argument he was making. They would claim to have the "truth" about all the things he did. Now, where do you suppose all those sites with all that truth got their information? Right! Other sites on the internet with the same agenda quoting from articles that were also promoting the same propaganda.
The internet is made up of only these things: personal websites, BLOGS, news websites, media and entertainment sites, pornography, personals, maps, information about places and events ect. non profit org. Groups, groups with an agenda, people with an agenda, any article found on the Television or print maybe be found online. OK, even if I missed something, my point here is, what is on the internet, is only what people put into it. People, organizations, causes, even News related items both from TV and print, have a bias. Some sites are completely bias. Some like a oped from a journalist, may be subtle.
Basically, I can take any, ANY, point of view, and "prove" it through the net. Two totally opposite opinions can both prove the other wrong right in the Google search engine.
The computer can conceive or create no facts, theories, or poof. It has no brain! lol! We only obtain those things by being diligent with our eyes and ears, and not just seeing what we want to or hearing things the way we want to hear them. We don't do that though unfortunately. We see and hear how we want. We go to our trusty computer to prove things how we want. Is that common sense?

Neocon or Liberal or....Me!!

I get the feeling by what I hear from politicians, activists, pundants, bloggers, and even friends that when you are on one side, you think like that side. Likewise, when you are on the opposing side, you think the opposite on each and every issue. I can't understand this. Is it treason to disagree with your fellow conservatives or liberals? Just a few yrs ago a study showed that over half of Americans were Independent, libertarian, or Centrist. Where the hell are they? It seems that if these people would surface, it could counter act the war between the extremes that's going on. Take me for example. I am going to list my standing on several important issues:
1. Abortion- Against it.

2. Taxes/wealth distribution- I believe the rich should be taxed much more. Their wealth gives them power to influence the political spectrum which affects me.

3.Immigration- I believe those that cross the border are doing so illegally which means breaking the law. Also, amnesty or looking the other way isn't fair to those who are doing it the lawful way. They do not pay in enough taxes to cover all the welfare expense and medical care expenses. Plus, it isn't that they do all the jobs Americans wont do, it is that employers need them to do jobs with much lower wages than an American could accept. As long as they (companies) have illegals Americans don't have those jobs.

4.Prayer in schools-- Im against it. It isn't the place for religious practice.

5.Gay Marriage-I don't believe this should be a political issue. Look in the dictionary at the word "marriage". Also, where was the word marriage originally used? What kind of ceremony? Legal? No. I think If you want to ask about gays getting married, that should be something answered by their priests, Rabbis Ministers, and ect.

6.Gay Unions-- Im all for Gay unions. I also think they should have the benefits of any couple

7.Social Security- I think we need a temporary solution. Something to get us past the baby bomber phase because then the amount of people get to be a lot less. As far as private investment accounts, I think people should be allowed to take a certain percentage of their social security during their working years and invest it> It should be limited to certain options.

8.Judges- I believe the situation right now is either or both a liberal block out of fear of losing things like abortion and/or democrats are determined to make this term a lame duck term for Bush. I think it is wrong, and causes loss of respect. I don't know everything about all of the judges, but I know that a lot of them are fit and they should get a vote up or down. I think we all know that if we listen to our common sense.

9. Legalized Drugs- I don't think "drugs should be legal. However, I consider Pot to be natural grown form the land and should be allowed to be harvested and used or sold. There are too many good uses for it.

10. Legalizing Prostitution- I also think that should be legal. I think I would cut down on crime and it would give the women more freedom to take steps to prevent themselves from decease and pregnancy without worry of being arrested. Besides, people are having sex everyday for free.

DNC- Bad Idea?

I know most in the Democratic party are sticking up for Howard Dean, at least on the news debate shows. But really though are there regrets? Im not trying to slam Dean personally here, but he has a slight case of sour grapes yet that he hasn't gotten over. However, I have to say that I can't blame his anger to an extent because of how the media crucified him. They have made everyone believe the "scream" caused him to lose out on winning the nomination. That rally that it took place at was after he took third in Iowa.
He had the best grass roots campaign. He birthed a whole new realm of reaching America through the internet. He had a people campaigning in every state when he hadn't even been there yet. He would have went on to be number one in Iowa if it not for something other than a scream, it was a little piece of a TV panel discussion including Dean. The republicans apparently hit a goldmine and got ahold of this tape where Dean is downplaying the need for going to Iowa and having a caucus. Of course the folks in Iowa heard this on National TV since the media got ahold of the tape probably hours after the republicans did. This, Im sure offended many people in Iowa, and the polls changed quickly. This is where I believe people quickly looked around and grabbed someone who looked presidential--John Kerry.
So, Dean has reason to be hurt at the media, and mad at the repubicans. Yet, Head of the DNC is a big job. It requires alot of speaking engagements and interviews. It also requires a plan. So far, I have heard alot of fifth grade insults and thats most of the body of the speeches in my opinion.
We have got to get past this. Like I have said in previous entries, I hope that this term hurries up and ends, and if a good democrat without a grudge could take the job as president, maybe it will pacify everyone. But things like what Dean is doing, and what Reid and Frist are doing, Delay and Pelosi, an us Americans, the bloggers, can't we stop the grudge against eachother, our own country (we want to compare ourselves to Nazis', and try and take our own country and charge it as worse than the holocaust, Sudan, Iraq under Saddam. I'd spit on someone if they talked like that to my face.

I'm not naive. I know the war over there is ugly. I know the government would probably rather we not know some of the things that happen. I know every soldier hasn't or doesn't act or re-act in the best interest of the development of any good feelings in the mid-east, or in the integrity of our country. All wars have things attached to it most would rather not remember.
What is bothering me is that while surfing through blogs the other day, I came across one that was running a basic theme with each entry. They were gathering as much "data" as they could about dates and events were the USA was guilty of crimes against humanity, human rights violations and such to other people in other countries. I think the focus was the middle eastern, Islamic countries. This is kind of troubling in itself but the thing is, the writer made special note that these atrocities mostly happened BEFORE September 11, 2001. So what were they saying? This blogger had very lengthy entry after entry dedicated to this one mission, finding more "stuff" that America done to mistreat those other Countries.
The really scary thing is this writer began each entry with so much excitement saying "I found more!!". I thought they were probably wetting themself over it each time. Why was this so important to express this to us, the readers? Why the happiness about Their own country accused of doing something inhumane? Why was the fact that so much happened before 9/11 important? I know there are a lot of people who are on the "hate the war" wagon who would stop at nothing to portray it anyway possible to look disgusting. But that wasn't it, or at least soley because that wouldn't explain the emphasis on 9/11. We weren't talking about war then. Also there are the Bush bashers who blame anything that happeneds anywhere directly on him. But he wasn't president during a lot of the dates that were listed on this blog. All I can think of is that there are some people who have taken their liberties that we have, and their right to believe and express what they want and turn around and denounce the very Country that gave them everything they have.I wish someone would re-make this song really soon because I think we need a little of this kind of thinking again:

My previous post serves to prove several points about freedom. One thing I can bet you is that within twenty-four hours at least half of the blog explosion, Blog Soldiers, Blog exchange liberals are going to Block my Blog from appearing while they surf. They do not want to see it. Some will try and get my blog off the net. I have check all rules and nothing says anything near a rule that I can not post it. But you never know though, its according to who you are talking to. For you neocon religious conservatives, this is not your cue to get on your soap box or slap backs. Where were you when these things started happening?? You should be ashamed you sat in your pompous churches praising god that you weren't sinners like all of us instead of spending time with the "sinners". Jesus did that. The Sarcasm as I surf through the blogs is unbelievable. The liberals " want to kill babies, defend terrorist, legalize marriage between anything, man and man, woman and woman, man and woman and man, man and cow, two women and a great dane, then kill all the old people and the sick or unloved". The conservatives " want to take us back to the stone age, not allow our children to have abortions when they get raped by their father, not allow sex, put cameras in everyone's bedroom, get the government to change all the laws to make our country a theocracy! They just wont shut up and go away! Keep quiet and give us our freedoms!
Oh! George Bush. For heaven sake people! What is done is done. He won this one last time and then he'll be gone. Common sense would say "Lets use this time to figure out ways to appeal to the fringe Democrats, Independents, and the dissatisfied Republicans." But nope! I don't know about y'all but I'm getting sick of it.Im tired of the spin. Im getting sick of the word LIAR when I don't believe there is anyway of knowing whether there were WMD there or not. We waited months to go there after Saddam knew what we were after. Documents, "Secret Memos'" that pop up about some plan to deceive everyone. I don't trust a politician as far as I can throw him/her right now, and excuse me but especially the Democrats cause they are mighty sore. Things get planted and I think we've got some gardeners in Congress. Things that are really true secrets, aren't so easily found. Stop acting like you don't know Clinton was planning the same damn war.
The War, I hate it and wish it wouldn't have turned out like this. But 17 Times they warned Saddam and the last time was a threat and when you say your going to do something, you have got to. Oil for food, was not working or does anyone see this? Someone should have blew the whistle on that along time ago. You know who was doing with out that food? The people that weren't working for Saddam. They had no medicine, no clean water and the little bit of food they got was bad. So, what can you say. He mistreated them for YEARS. Also, Besides the crap you hear about what our soldiers are responsible for, it is Saddams men that are still out there killing innocent people and not caring. Im glad to see some of the Iraqis standing up and protecting themselves, because Its time for us to go for sure. But as much as it is terrible that there has been death with this war, calling it Vietnam is bullshit. They lost in a day what we lost in a year. Look at WWII, no comparison.
All I know is when the bulk of these boys/gals start coming home, if one person spits on even the shoe of one soldier, they better not be able to be found! You can thank all the loud mouth Senators like Ted Kennedy who in my opinion doesn't deserve to be employed let alone in congress, and CNN, CBS, and the like if those soldier are treated badly! But Gee I hope every terroist from Afghanistan gets a good lawyer, maybe Mark Geragos lol.

Personality Traits

As you know we all have personality traits. Some of mine have been quite evident as of late. I, for some reason really have a difficult time feeling I've been misunderstood or labeled differently than I know I really am. I also obsess myself with having a reasonable amount of fairness and continuity. I't may be my bipolar disorder, I don't know. But when a person feels this way, they feel they must keep pressing the issues until either they know they are wrong and or the other party realizes where they are coming from.
The weird thing is, its kind of like the political spectrum. Everyone is talking and wanting to say how they see things, or who is wrong or right but no one ever gets the whole picture. No one ever stops and listens to everything once so they can make an informed opinion. One group stays on the right side and the other group gathers on the left. Its almost like as each side huddles with its own group, they just keep continually taking their ques from the sharp tongued ones on their side.
This may be comical or sickening to some of you, but during this pop-up fiasco, I almost felt like ole' GW himself. Yes, I was hasty,I went about it all wrong. I was uninformed, and didn't want to admit it. I also had comments on one side saying, "you go!", and "You're completely right!". But then there were the ones who seemed to think I Knew about the pop-ups but did it anyway. "they tried to tell you and you blew it way out of proportion!". So all these people would be my neoconservative and then my liberals and liberal media lol. I guess the one that sent the comment to Blog explosion would be the "whistle blower" lol.
But though, I handled it wrongly, and made mistakes, I didn't do it maliciously. I also was provoked by a lack of clear communication and information. Bravenet has got to be the CIA lol. How do you feel when someone says you are wrong when it sounds off the wall? You need to understand the facts.
Back when I worked in customer service, we had to take a class at almost every customer svc job I work. It was about dealing with the customer correctly and trouble shooting. Calmly explaining why this is the problem and saying "I understand how you feel" and "I know it seems". Does anyone remember going to them? It instantly makes the person feel that they are NOT misunderstood, so they calm down.
Jumping to conclusions is something both sides should never do. Here we go again with politics. How often does the News Media do this? Then before the media can put out a correction to retract the misstatement, the opposite political party has already held a news conference and been on six Sunday morning Talk shows bashing the other side and whomever the false statements about.
When I said I feel like George Bush I mean, I have been wrong. I have handled my wrongs wrong. I don't like saying I was wrong. But the (neocons) pro's should not act (praise him)like no wrong can be done. Liberals, they (he) you can be wrong and not be a vicious, manipulative lying snake. Sometimes people are just really wrong, or really fooled.

Isn't It Ironic?

You Know my last entry ended with a question. The question was about what the Constitution means by "Freedom of speech" and how far our rights were meant to go in the minds of our forefathers as they milled over this important Document that has been handed down and kept with very little change as the basis for our government. The comments from the last post were very good. If you didn't read them, I think it would be good to. We should be open to other peoples views on these things even if we have a strong opinion of our own.
At any rate, the ironic thought that came to mind when I thought about how old the constitution was, and seemingly harder to interpret the longer time goes on it began to remind me of another old hard to interpret set of writings. Funny thing is, these two acient writings are strictly to be kept from even having the same breeze blow over them both. Many battles go on in court continually to keep these to confusing sets of writings apart.
I'm am sure you have figured out that Im referring to the Holy Bible. The only difference between the Bible and the Constitution is that "Bible Scholars" have periodically tried to "modernize" the bible to make it clearer to the reader. However, many say that each time this is done, more and more of the original meaning is taken away. So, even though sometimes even though I think the Constitution needs a remake, you know, just to clear things up, would it? No. It would only cause many to lose more respect for it. It would lessen its value in peoples eyes.
that's why I wish we could just look at our freedoms and be thankful for them and morally and ethically look at our other fellow brother and sister Americans and enjoy our freedoms without anger and hate but with mutual respect, civil actions and good old common sense!!!

An explanation and a Question

There has been a bit of drama surrounding my blog as of late. As I mentioned in the previous entry, a comment was made to blog explosion that there was a pop-up on my blog. Well it so happened the blog explosion e-mailed me and said they were shutting me down until it stopped. I did everything including reformation my computer, reinstalling my virus/adware protection and all I could and emailed them saying so. They in turn emailed me and said I still had pop-ups and that they were because of bravenet. I tried to contact Bravenet with no luck. I emailed blog explosion to inquire what bravenet was doing and why I was being shut down for it. Then they tell me that the "pop-ups" they are referring to are my poll I had up and also the little counter at the bottom of my blog! I reminded him that I surf blogs everyday and we all have these things in one form or another. He told me I was too emotional and being "unprofessional" about it. I told him I wasn't required to be "professional" because I was not the one running a web exchange business. I also said I had a right to be "emotional" because regardless of his scripted blog explosion responses the fact are the facts, I had nothing abnormal on my site.
Needless to say, as you see, I took off all the things from bravenet. It kind of pissed me off that they didn't even respond. Apparently my blog is activated with blog explosion again. I have signed up with other exchanges and after my money has been spent here I may discontinue using them altogether. I can't help it though, I'm a creature of habit lol.

Ok, I'd like to pose a question and get feedback if I can, so I know im still out there LOL
Alright, now think about the hypothetical of this now. Do you think with regards to the first Amendment, that "freedom of speech" (not including the 'hate' speech laws)can be carried too far? Can America get so free with our rights that we trample other peoples rights and visa versa? Or do you think freedom of speech should have no limit ever no matter the consequences because the Constitution states it so?

Bad Comments

Since my Msn hotmail account has been down along with messenger for some reason the last week, I have had to actually look over my site for comments. There have been none. However, through blogExplosion I have gotten two. One was a frowny face that says they had gotten a pop up while on my site. I'm so sorry, truly I am! I have every mechanism in my computer to stop them, but the virus, adware, and pop up demons always try to stay one step ahead of us. That way we can go out and buy all new weapons to fight them at extreemly high cost. Hmmm. someone is benefiting.
Alright, the other one was a complaint about my format. They said I should have used Firefly. Ok, Im sorry I didn't use firefly and that I, as I have said before, am computer retarded. I wish so very mush so that I could build a beautiful site that would be easy on the eyes.
But This is what is bothering me. This is actually what offends and yes, hurts. I have very strong feelings about what I write in my entries. I would like to be taken seriously. I would like discourse. I would like to make some impact. I'd like to know if anyone else cares about the state of the attitude in this country. I'd like to know if you don't think its a problem , and why? Not how ugly my site is or the freakin pop ups. The Pendulum Problem

There is one thing That I have seen in society today through media, group discussions and an awful lot while surfing these blogs, and that is the swinging of the pendulum.
"Click" One site is saying all we need to do is turn to god and say no to sex outside of marriage, no to urges to be with the same sex and so on and god will take those desires away. Abstinence is the only way to take care of the body god gave you to present to your husband or wife to stay faithful to. The Catholics do not want people to take birth control because it is gods will to determine how many children to bless each family with. Then of course the abortion issue, not destroying the life inside you. There are so many alternatives.

"click" Another site says that those fundamentalist nuts are stupid to think that abstinence is going to help the problem. Kids are going to have sex. Not giving them birth control will just allow for more pregnancies and abortions. You can't expect anymore from your child because statistically over half will be sexually active by the end of their senior yr of High School. Girls/Women must have the right to choose what may affect their whole future. A child will affect it greatly so contraceptive and abortion education are important. These religious people are just making the problem worse. People also need to be who they are meant to be also without being judged by these right-winged meddling nuts!

Ok, I'm tired of this judgmental thinking and one sided ideology from both sides. As far as the church goes, I wonder where they were when society began changing. Teen pregnancy wasn't always so high. Being sexually active used to be rare with a few exceptions IF a guy got lucky with the one girl in town who put out. How can the Godly people judge something they sat and watched? I wasn't old enough then, but did all the bible thumpers storm the Whitehouse lawn the day Roe v Wade was signed? I don't know if this is relevant but I have almost seen as many homosexuals in the churches I've been in as I have in Gay bars. As a side not: I married a preacher 17 yrs ago and was I guess a ministers wife. I divorced him 8 yrs later for mental and physical abuse but not for another fact true in our marriage-- he cheated on me with other men. He also said he saw many preachers at the gay bars and rest areas he frequented. I stayed with him cause I didn't feel he hurt me, I knew I was bisexual. But anyway I played the church cliche thing.

Now the loud ranting women:
So afraid their right to have their child sucked out of their body will be taken away. Actually it has been the centerpiece of politics right now. Think about it. Democrats and liberals to a very large degree vote based on that issue. They want to start in Elementary teaching sex education. Sex ed including, that they are sexual, all options of birth control, preventing STD's and HIV (do they mention its not foolproof?)all are born to be either heterosexual, bisexual, or homosexual with all the positive discussed and that's fine and dandy.

Can't these two sides grow up and compromise? Or is the whole country on the red team or blue team about everything???

I commented in a blog the other day on an article about Social Security. It interested me because what she was saying, I had not heard. She said "One paper said" at one part of her rant and a ways down she said " Another paper said" So after I finished reading it, I commented and I told her I didn't see one piece of proof just references to newspapers. Well I had to put my name email address and my site address in order to get it published, I didn't mind. She's emailed me twice already bitching me out. I mean, are we trying to accomplish anything or not through discourse? No its whoever has the loudest mouth and can pull off the sneakiest tricks that makes the pedulum swing their way.

A Little Waste of Space

Its not that I don't realize that this is a hopeless attempt at putting things in perspective, or that people reading this will draw political conclusions, such as "another Bush follower-neo-conservative, right-wing religous nut"; still I must speak about the press conference.
Would it help if I Made a disclaimer and said that Im not a conservative religous nut? Would you believe me if I told you that there are many things that disturb me about this administration and this President? I didn't think so. But anyway, Last night, I'm pretty sure it was one of those sarcastic CNN reporters, stood up and mentioned that Bush had came to the White House over 4 yrs ago saying that he wanted to change the partisan politics in Washington and try and bring a more positive atmosphere. But that Congress was so badly partisan they were amost ready to shut down. Then he asked the president didn't he feel any responsibility for that.
Bush was too nice with his answer!
Here is the truth:
When Clinton was president, there were many scandals. The republicans made it very difficult on the Democrats. Then one scandal was so iron clad it had to be admited. The republicans have had a hey day. Clinton was a good president and got 8 yrs in office. Democtrats clung to that. Even though republicans had now taken over congress. Jimmy Carter was the last Democrat president, the only on I can remember in my lifetime. So They didn't want to lose the White House, not to the republicans who had been so cruel to a great president.
The Demcocrats were wounded, and the 2000 election poured salt right in that wound. George Bush walked into the roll of bad guy. He became the Democrats vindication. Clinton lied under oath? Bush lied to the whole country and caused people to die for nothing. Clintons Whitewater became Bush/Cheneys Haliburton. Basically its revenge time for the whole rebublican party, especially Bush. The war is a cop out. No one minded when Clinton up and decided to bomb Iraq a few times. People who are zeroing in on WMD's not being there, like a conspiracy to allow our men to die for all this glory Bush is getting from the war, and OH don't forget all the oil we have confiscated (yeah, right) was all there is. The same ones that talk about civil rights. Bottom line is the food for oil wasn't working anyway, because they wern't getting the food unless they were working with Saddam. That doesn't matter though. The UN is our hero too!
Bottom line, it didn't matter who the hell it was in 2000, if you were the Republican Nomination for President, your ass was grass! Now 2004 has just ripped the Democrats scars right open again. Just think Al Gore, John Kerry will make them feel happy. Everything would be fine. Two totally compitant men lol. But George Bush now, he is stirring up partisan politics pshhh.

I am really losing what confidence I had in our system of Government. This last oh, about seven years, i've slowly went from realist to pessimist. There is no greater example presently of course than the situation with the Judicial nominations. The Republicans have their story that the democrats are wanting to filbuster perfectly well qualified Judges just because of their stance on abortion and that Dems think they are "extreem". They say "all we want is an up or down vote." They also site that never in history has there been a filibuster on Judicial appointments. They threaten to vote out the filibuster in the case of Judicial Nominations.

Democrats on the other hand say, these Judges are activist judges and that the Bush administration is trying to send only etreemly conservitive Judges with an agenda into the higher court system. They site that Republicans have used the filibuster in Judicial appointments. They claim Reps are plotting with the religous right, and that the conservative Christians are lobbying. The Dems threaten to filibuster. If Reps carry out the "Neuclear option" plan, dems will shut down the senate.

Ok. Does this seem like a group of elected representitives sent to Washington for our benefit? No, none of them seem to . You know what this is all about? Abortion basically.
My opinion is this: First of all, where were all the conservatives when young people needed to be educated on birth control? Where were these churches when young unmarried girls came in through their doors pregnant? Where were the churches, conservatives, and Reps when young women needed assistance? The conservative community sat in a huddle all those years feeling too good for everyone else, while life happened. Then they woke up and started ponting fingers.
What were the liberals doing then? They were saying "do what feels good". Fighting for for more freedom for access to sexual material (on T.V., movies, games, magazines ect). Also pushing for a new more liberal sex education to be taught in school.

Now its clear that the alterior motive on boths sides is abortion. The Consevative DO have an agenda to get rid of it. Also the Liberals believe it's their lifes blood to keep it going. Sad, isn't it?

What SHOULD be taking place right now is the scrutiny of all judges to make sure they know they are NOT legislators. Also, past record of following the Contitution, not how much they did or didn't attend church services or Mass. Think anything will change soon? Maybe, just maybe in about 31/2 more years everyone will get the chip of their shoulders, or maybe finally we will crawl out of this two party trap and learn to play (work) together on things again.

Ok, since Im not Catholic, this whole death of the Pope and the picking of a new one has been educational. I do however know the difference between a religous orginization with its own beliefs and doctrine and politics with its two headed monster.
It seems all I have heard the last few years is people trying to get religion out of the public eye, away from getting into the business of the justice system or intruding on the laws. "seperation of church and state" is a phrase I've heard so much I swear I think my ears were about to bleed. I said or wrote in one blog or another that when that was written, it was just as much for the state to stay out of the church business as much as the church to stay away from the governments business. Here is an example of what I mean. In fact the last two weeks is an example. The political analysis of this new Pope is silly. Its clearly none of the secular medias political gurus' territory to decide whether he is too conservative or not. Nor is it for them to decide if he should start allowing women bishops, or Priests to marry and certainly issues on abortion and things of a moral nature. If you're a Catholic, it is an issue. If you aren't-- stay out of it!!! The pope isn't trying to make legislation. I mean God!

The Unexplained

The other day, me and a couple friends were sitting around in my living room having a few beers and talking. You know what happeneds when you get together and drink, you start talking about serious shit. You talk in circles until you talk about all the things you never even want to get into when you aren't drinking.
Well, somehow we got on the subject of Aliens and whether there was or is life on any other planets. We talked about all the people that have supposedly seen UFO's. We each had our theories. Of course this is an area where we can only speculate with very little logic to go on. My main question is 'Why all the planets in all the solar systems?'. I don't believe in Evolution, I believe in a creator. I believe in a higher power, a god, who has spent eternity in search of building a world of souls that will be his companions, that he can have a relationship with. Without doing this, he would be alone. This was his project to combat bordom and to gain a following.
So I think its possible that the Earth and the creation of man wasn't his first attempt, Thus all the empty planets (as far as we know). I believe that what cause failure in at least some of these other attempts is that the creatures turned against him and it backfired. I think that what made the planets extinct was the abuse of the creatures. They destroyed themselves and the life on the planet.
I also feel strongly that that is what we are doing now on this planet. Even is my theory about the other planets is false. Anyway, if anyone is seeing Aliens or UFO's, it could possibly be survivors.
Some friends have said that aliens are people from the future that have come back periodically to influence the progression of our technology as we go towards the future. He even said he though Bill Gates was from the future LOL! What is strange about the rapid movment forward of our technology and inventions took a giant leap suddenly in the 20th centery. Think of how we had progressed from the beginning till the yr. 1900. Then think of what has happened in that one centry.
My daughter had a "dream" when she was about 7 or 8 and knew nothing of the accounts ppl have given about alien encounters. It stunned her so much that when I went to her room she was unable to get up from her bed and couldn't tell me anything. I knew it must have been a terrible nightmare. Later on after she was much older she told me what happened and I instantly remembered going in there when she was young and seeing her like that. So, she firmly believes in them. I have seen a group of rings in the sky move almost chorioghraphic in directions and speeds that no aircraft could fly. I have no explanation for them. My mind is open.

Grammer School

I realize that my blog is far from professional. I am a PC retard. I am also aware that my spelling and grammer is terrible.
I wish I was better versed and had better writing skills. Its strange that as a senior in High School, my hardest class was English literature. It was a college level course and very challenging. We did alot of biographies on famous writers and wrote short stories ourselves. I passed that class with an A- which is good for a college entry level class in a private school. My teacher even gave me a pen name because she felt I had potential and would succeed in writing someday. I had already decided on being a psychologist if I went to college.
I ended up getting married right out of school and helping him through college and having two children. I wanted to stay home and raise my kids until they got older and then go myself. Well I waited until they were teenagers and went majoring in Pschology and minoring in Journalism.
By this time I had had the mental/nervous breakdown and been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. Everything was different for me. I was slow to learn and it was impossible for me to retain it. So, I really felt like I missed my chance to make a career doing what I really felt I wanted to do. I know I could've been sharp and a easy learner. Now, I will forget how to spell something I have known all along and spell it wrong. I catch my mistakes when I read my entries again later. I just have no memory. I know several entries ago someone (anonymous of course) well, really just didn't agree with what I wrote and got pissed by it and so this person attacked my grammer and spelling LOL. They scolded me by saying that if I (me)was older than thirteen yr old and wrote with that grammer and spelling, I should "be ashamed of myself". LOL, They don't have to read it then. But I think it was more the contents of the post that stirred up the anger.
So anyway, please bear with me. I love to blog and discuss different things that I hear about or that is just on my mind. I like to read the comments from you, I wouldn't mind getting more comments. There is alot of playing sides and speculation being spouted off about those on the "other side of the isle" in politics right now. Worse than ever before (in my life)and I want this to be a place where opinion is opinion and fact is fact. That way my blog doesn't become part of the Pendulum Problem.

Dinner and a Movie

What happened to "Dating"? Why dont girls get picked up and taken out to eat or to a movie or something?
You know what couples do now? The guy shows up at the house (im using my 18yr old as an example) and "hangs out" . They eat my food, dirty dishes, invite more friends, eat more food, dirty more dishes and no one wants to leave. No one spends any money on the girls, but the girls cuddle up with them like the guy could save them from anything. A week or too of these "dates" and they are so attached, you can't seperate them with a crow bar. Birthdays, Christmas comes. Nothing-not even a card from the guy while the girl frantically trys to get what little money she's got together to get a poster and a card or something for the the sorry ass guy. Then she gets disappointed everytime that he got her nothing. But after he sweet talks her for about fifteen minutes all is forgiven. I bet the flower industry is nearly backrupt.
Its not just my daughter just picking the wrong dudes. Its just that way now. For some reason, somewhere down the line men stopped feeling like they needed to feel a bit of obligation to show respect to a lady. I wonder what caused this? Im almost fourty and been divorced eleven yrs and basically men have changed. They dont want to go to a show or some special place together as a date. They don't mind canceling last minute for something that ends up being nonexistent, and women can buy their own stuff. Men are required to put nothing into a relationship to keep most women. They dont even need to be faithful.
In my opinion, durring the womens movement, great things happened. Women felt strong, confident, self-sufficient, and equal with men.
But I think Later on we went through a time where it got excessive. Women got so self-sufficient that men got on a path toward laziness. They got to where "hey, I don't have to be the one soley responsible for anything". Men can spend alot more time with their career and their friends. While women persue their own careers.
Marriage in alot of cases has became a business contract because so much money is tied up in so many assets.
Eventually the divorce rate went up. Then all these middle age men and women are back on the market again. Men dont want to buy dinner or flowers for this women like his exwife who was too "self-sufficient" to spend time taking care of some of his needs, and the divorced women don't trust these divorced men who "must" be like the husband they divorced who was constantly lying about his work, cheated on them (maybe cause she was busy being self-reliant and persuing her career), he always said he'd spend time with her and then never did.
All these issues now, Who wants to give anything after all this? Not that this is the only scenario, by all means. Im just trying to give examples of the evolution of the lethargic communion we still call relationships. Maybe Some of you who have also noticed the change in the perception people have about how they date and their relationships. If you have a theory on how this progressed and maybe what we can do to get on track somehow, please comment! I would really like your feedback.

I Just Couldn't Look

I didn't turn the TV on much all weekend last weekend basically for one reason. I can't stand seeing Prince Charles and Camilla together. Im not going to say anything terribly trashy here but I can't pretend the obvious isn't there.
First of all, I was a great fan of the lady Dianna. I had enormous respect for her. I think she was a beautiful Princess, strong woman in the midst of being in a marriage where, as she said, "there were three of us, and it was a bit crowded". She held her head high through the divorce, even as the royals thumbed there noses at her, became a wonderful humaitarian, determined to be herself no matter what mold she was being forced in. She was an excellent mother to the two boys and they adored her. The world adored her. Women everywhere who were in the same boat, divorced with children, surviving alone, found so much courage from her.
To think that this wedding last weekend was an event that should've happened more than a decade ago if they were going to be together (as they were anyway), and Lady Dianna could have found a better Prince charming, a commoner yes, but a true prince. Just knowing how it could've changed the course of history made me cringe with the thought of this situation at this time far too late after way too much damage has been done, to see people celebrate this union now. It was just almost blasphemous to me.

I've been hearing about these "Minutemen" that have gathered along the southern Arizona border. I'm not sure how to feel about it. I know that I have been very upset about the millions of illegal immigrant flooding over with no one in the White House seeming to give a rats ass. Bush and this new "Homeland Security" set up seem to be oblivious to the problem and the potential dangers it could bring. Instead Bush came out with this Idea of a work program. Of course thats like yelling out "Y'all Come!!!!". These men that are at the border down there say that they are there for the most part to get Bush's attention. Good luck! Thats all I can say.
What I'd like to know is when is old Vincent Fox going to start taking care of his own people? When is he going to see that there is job creation growing down there in Mexico? Don't they have any resources? I heard this, but It was a comentary, that the mexican guards were deturing the immigrants AWAY from crossing along the area where all the minuemen were located. I've also heard that the government of Mexico put out a pamplet and video on how to saftly make the journey.
I know our Politicians are so worried about offending the hispanic/latino voters that they will not do a damn thing. But polls have shown that a majority of hispanics want border control. You know why?? Because they probibly went through the LEGAL process of becoming a U.S. citizen and it probibly pisses them off to see these people getting a free pass in.
Truly, to be honest, I wish we had men posted completely accross the border, and the northern too. Men with balls. Not like the "border protrol" now, fanned out miles apart. You know, I hear alot about "the law" (as with the Shivairo case) gotta stick with the law of the land!!!! Well lets do it!!!!!
Bush said they help us by taking jobs that Americans wont do. Are there millions of jobs we wont do??? Now I lived in Florida for a time and had a boyfriend who grew ornamental trees. He had a huge field. This was his first season and he had made no profit yet. He was putting money from his other job into this. His trees needed to be tied. This keeps the branches growing upward. He hired a migrant worker, probibly an illegal immagrant. He told me he was going to pay 25 cents/tree. I thought that was awful but thats all he could afford. The man pulled up in an old voltswagon van and he, his brother, wife, grandmother and about four kids got out. My friend instructed the man and he interpreted to the family and they worked their asses off.
BUT, you know most of the time, you got some builder with his pockets crammed with money, hiring these illegals for construction and not paying them squat!! While a man with a wife and two kids sits at home with no job!! Not to mention the drugs that come in more and more. The more they come, the more drugs come too. Then theres terrorism. We here that word every day. Does it really mean anything? Those minutemen said they have already spotted a couple syrians and iranians.
I know how ppl see it. " Oh there honest ppl who just want to find the American dream like everyone has throught history" Let them go to the Office of U.S. Citizenship. They can get their dream the same way everyone else did. May sound harsh, but like kids, or anything your responsible for, if you pussyfoot around too much, we will have no country.

John P.Avlon has a really good book called "Independent Nation". It really explains how we aren't divided into two trains of thought as much as we think we have to be.

It would also be very interesting reading to find Thomas Paines writings on "Common Sense" on the internet and run off a copy to read at your leasure. I think there is an intoduction and about three more parts to it. Its a bit long and written in old English but full of so much wisdom about what government what meant to be there for and sensible politics.
I highly recomend both readings.

One thing I have noticed so much of, and especially as I look through others blogs is the divide that has developed. A divide that transcends politics its a whole way of thinking. One group has to agree about every issue regardless of the subject and the other group has to disagree.

Group A: no drilling in Anware Alaska. Pro-choice (aborion on demand). anti-war. Against government intervention in Terri Schaivo situation. For the use of a filabuster in congress to prevent Bush from appointing neoconservative Judges. Against changing senate back to a majority rule when voting. Feel social security is not is very bad shape and that administration is trying to dismantal it. Have negitive feeling about Bushs' foriegn policy to some degree from, "he's not very smart" to the point of " He's lying about the war, he tricked us, he just wanted to go to war for policical gain or oil or....ect. for amnesty in some form.

Group B: Drilling in Anwar Alaska will help us not to have to depend on foreign oil as much. Pro-life (in some cases as in life of mother, it may be medically necessary). Defend country by going on offense and always fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves. Felt the judicial system showed just how independent its gotten from the real world and the people and are above the adminstative and legistative branches. This using a filabuster as indiscrimantly and often as the last congress has and this one plans to is a statement of childish defiance to work with the president and other members of the congress. That would leave congress no choice but to go back to a majority vote. Feels Social Secuity is something that has to be fixed now, before the "crisis" comes and wants help from all sides which is why the president hasnt put forth a step by step proposal. Everyone would say "this is what he's trying to force us to do". The person accounts have aready been treated that way. It is voluntary and no one is taking away Social security or dismantaling it.Lastly, they try to clump Micheal Moore, Al Frankin, Charlie Sheen, Susan Serandon...ect as an example of the way this group feels.

They Are Among Us

Im sure that right now it has crossed most of our minds, if we have children, about whether there is a sex offender or many of them in our city or neihborhood. Maybe its a good idea for us to check for regiatered sex offenders now, every few yrs and anytime we move. It is great that they must register. However, obviously that isn't nearly enough. There has been discussion on some of the news programs on how they can make changes in the laws regarding these slugs when they have "served their time". A tracking braclet was talked about, so they're whereabouts are constantly monitored. Also, a closer look at their rap sheet before opening the gate to freedom. They are serving time for one conviction. What have they done in the past? Those that have had habitual sexual offenses against a child and other convictions, may not need to be set free. maybe they need a stay in a prison psych ward for a while to see how they are doing.
Ok, those are the only ideas i've heard. Good Ideas, wouldn't hurt to impliment them, but not a cure. A sex "offender" could be someone who say is a 30yr old man, who "falls in love" with a 15 yr old girl who consents to this. Thats sick, thats wrong--true, or these casses of these female teachers. All must register as sex "offenders". Now offenders can also include lude behavior to a minor. Im not a lawyer so I dont when a offender becomes a predator. At any rate, there seems to be no "cure".

Now, the "sexual preditor" are the ones who are definitely out to rape, kidnap and murder innocent children. Of course I say here also, there definitly seems to me no cure. All of the measures I shared above, that I have seen addressed, are meaningless to a sexual predator. Unless you lock everyone of them away in solitary confinment for life, you have a major risk when they are put out into the world. I dont care what programs they went through in prison, or by what means a judge thought this childs worst nightmare was ready to be free, the chances aren't favorable enough for me.
I have, what I think is a solution. I even heard it spoken once on a news show with a blush and a bit of a giggle. Why? I thought. Why would it be so outlandish. If a potential predator (one considered an offender but tends to get worse) or a predator who has kidnaped, attempted to kidnap, attempted rape, or raped a child or god forbid succeeded in all the above and then including murder, What would be too harsh for them? to outlandish? Inhumaine?
I say simply if you can't castrate the mind of those sick perverts who can do those thing to children, castrate the genitals where the horomones, and those sick desires connect with the brain. My only doubt is that So much of the rape and molesting and terrible things, arent comming from their sex drive. But I still think It is worth at try. I think a little experimentation with this would be worth it if we find that it does take away some psychological urge in them to do this. I don't think its inuhumane at all. Go ahead "passivist" call me a terrorist!

Who Can We Really Trust?

I know we've heard enough about the Scott Peterson trial and everyone's glad its over. I don't know how some might have felt about the outcome. I feel that most felt like I did. Put it this way, if your mother in law is begging you right in your face to tell her why you killed her daughter and grandson and you're about to head to San Quintons' Death Row for murder, If you were innocent (and maybe even if you were guilty) wouldn't some emotion come over you enough to mutter to her "mom I didn't hurt them, I promise".
This Guy Scott, and many other family members, boyfriends, stepmoms ect. over the years have been right there in the media asking for help. All their family around them saying "no it couldn't be them. They were the perfect husband, stepmom, boyfriend ..." But it WAS them. Stone cold face liars. In the Hacking case, a whole life of lies.
Every parent must protect their children. Every single person must protect themselves and their future families and every divorced parent must protect themselves and their children. It doesn't matter how good a lover, how many dozen roses, how big a paycheck, how good a cook, how gorgeously hot they are.
If no other, this is the time for logic and sense. Yeah, love is grand and all but before you let it glaze over your eyes you must take a REAL look at them. See the things you dont want to know when its too late. Don't let your kids get molested first, or kidnaped, murdered, or left an orphan.

Man or Machine?

I don't know how you feel about this but if someone wants to prove something to me, a website is not going to do it. There is a man in an online debate group that I participated in for over a year who could always whip out a whole list of websites as his argument. Most others in the group would look at the sites and be convinced that he was correct. But this Can't be true. The only advantage he had was that he had prepared for these arguments and he also was a conspiracy theoriest with an agenda. He kept his nose in the internet constantly. He claimed to have "underground connections" of what was really going on in our government. By the way, he lived in Canada. He claimed to have access to websites that we didn't. But the fact was, he had websites that contained people claiming the same far-left, so far gone looney kinda argument he was making. They would claim to have the "truth" about all the things he did. Now, where do you suppose all those sites with all that truth got their information? Right! Other sites on the internet.
The internet is made up of only these things: personal websites, news websites, media and entertainment sites, pornography, personals, maps, information about places and events ect. non profit org. groups, groups with an agenda, people with an agenda, any article found on the Television or print maybe be found online. OK, even if I missed something, my point here is, what is on the internet, is only what people put there. People, Orginizations, causes, even News related items both from TV and print, have a bias. Some sites are completely bias. Some like a oped from a journalist, may be subtle.
Basically, I can take any, ANY, point of view, and "prove" it through the net. Two totally opposite opinions can both prove the other wrong right in the Google search engine.
The computer can concieve or create no facts, theories, or poof. We only obtain those things by being diligent with our eyes and ears, and not just seeing what we want to or hearing things the way we want to hear them. We dont do that though unfortunately. We see and hear how we want. We go to our trusty computer to prove things how we want. Is that common sense?

"Rush to Judgment Monday, March 07, 2005By John Gibson Giuliana Sgrena, the Italian journalist hostage, is now saying that American troops shot at her car on purpose trying to kill her. The White House says the claim is absurd.In addition, let me point out some other absurdities:First, Ms. Sgrena is from a communist newspaper called Il Manifesto. So how many of you think Il Manifesto sent her to Iraq to report on how well Iraq is doing after its first free election? None of you? What a smart bunch. Of course it didn't.She is an ardent anti-American who was going to Iraq to do a hatchet job on the American effort there and — silly her — she didn't realize the Iraqi insurgent kidnapers didn't really care if she thought they were noble freedom fighters. They just wanted her sorry bones to ransom.What's more, she now admits they treated her well. Gee, now, that's a surprise. When we all saw that tape of Ms. Sgrena begging for her life with her hands held in prayer — imagine a reporter for a communist paper praying — everybody thought things must really be rough. Now it turns out they told her what to say and how to say it and she acted her part.Also, The Washington Times is reporting Monday that the $6 million ransom was not Italian government money, but personal funds of the media mogul Silvio Berlusconi — who just happens to be the prime minister.So what do you think the chances are that Ms. Sgrena cooperated with her captors to squeeze some cash out of what she would regard as a capitalist pig, the media mogul and prime minister Mr. Berlusconi?Think I'm stretching there?In any case, she's now blaming the Americans for shooting up her car which tried to speed through a checkpoint.I'm blaming her for thinking she could wander around Iraq unharmed because she is a sympathizer with the insurgents, then for getting herself snatched, then for getting the prime minister to put up his own money, which led to the death of one of the Italian intelligence agents who came to save her sorry rear end.She's right — it is disgusting. We can cling to the far right-wing conservativism. We can "progress" to the far liberal left. We can claim that our side are the smart ones. The ones thinking clearly. But I dont see either one thinking at all. I see a hysterical war of winner takes all. Do we elect our President because of his "common sense"? Or is it because of which political party he/she represents. "Hey, one for the team right?" What about this? A game called "who will lead the country? Red? or Blue? This is how much we care about our children and grandchildren? We could be promoting a campain to find a president that can undo all the damage that has already been done and start a new criteria. Oh, and you know as well as I that John Kerry was not that man.
How bout we get rid of the red and blue game? It isn't working anymore. I sure dont think so. Not after the vile shit I've heard coming out of even U.S Senators mouths as they run for the media. No one cares of dignity or even truth. These are our representatives! Unfortunately with all the "used car salesman" type promoting of their own and the "Jerry Springer style degrading of the other party, added with the enormous misrepresentation by the news media--- The people dont know shit about what is real or not. Why? None of this process is done with any common sense. If people had our choice for real on who should be making decisions both forgeign and domestic and if we really had choice on who represented us in congress, by voting with our common sense, and not our sense of knowing red from blue or that you are one of two words: Democrat or Republic, America might stop fighting, booing and yelling from the bleachers and make straight, middleground solutions on leadership.

I will be the first to admit that I think Martha Stewart was used by the government as an example of how "big an bad" the corperate shake down was going to be. But as usual, they picked the wrong stooge. I mean yeah, she lied to the feds, but so, so many have and SHE was not even under oath. No formal interigation, nothing even taped. So she lied about a detail. Now, she is out of prison and is the star of the news, television and all of prime time.
I wonder if whoever idea this was to pick on her realizes how it backfired. yeah, there are some real cases pending in court right now, and Enron has their trial set for around the end of he year. But how long have these REAL scandals been finally put to a halt? How long have we, the American people been told by the administation that Corperate corruption would be cleaned up? Four yrs of cleaning and Martha Stewart is all we have to show for it. Her and her two new shows. Her and that stock that has gone up so many times, Hell I could live off it alone. Justice, presiding judge, congragulations, you have created the celeberty too big to fit in the room!!!!!!

I Tried not To Go Here But I Couldn'tHelp It

Maybe we can be nice, we'll see. I can't not bring up the "freedom of speech" issue because it's just too "hot" these days. Alot of people seem to feel it is being taken away. Strange, seems all my life I only heard that complaint coming from the religous ppl. Of course it still is, but now everyone has something to say (usually negative) and they all want to remind us they have the right to say it. Well, Duh.. Of course they do. They say opinions are like assholes, everybody has one. I have plenty, believe me.
There is a difference between opinion and fact however. Oddly, everyone has a few facts also nowdays. Now facts need to be accompanied by some things. We know what I mean. Proof! Evidence! Things like that. A book containing your, or someone elses OPINION is not proof. Since that should be an elementary statement, I wont rant on this.
Ok, lets use some recent examples. Of course there is Ward Churchill. There are probibly a few ignorant ppl who accually feel he doesnt have the right to freedom of speech. But I dont think very many ppl want to missuse the constitution, no matter how utterly stupid the behavior it allows may be. Why? Because If we take one persons freedom away, ours could be next. Right? I really think those who feel like victums of the constitution and believe they are having rights, like the right to speech taken away, are misunderstanding what is happening. We all have the right to freedom of speech, BUT we all have a right to freedom of speech by DISSENTION also. So when you speak, and make an opinion, or "claim" a fact. expect others to exercize their freedoms if they so wish and disagree, state an opinion about you, and as in the case of Churchill, state what lack of COMMON SENCE to give platform to allow speech that is demeaning and hurtful to not only our country but mostly those who have had mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, husbands and wives die by a terror attack while minding there own business, doing there jobs. (Sarcastic opinion from me) See, most people have to be apart of the corperate world, many in commerce. Not everyone can hang out at colleges everyday spouting off opinions and so called "history". Ok, Im finished. He has all the rights in the world to free speech. But if he is wreckless about it, and has no regaurd for others, or for the thought that his idea may be bullshit and he is dumbing down these college students for nothing, They have every right to take away his platform- BUT not his 'speech'. Media has given him national attention. He has had no reason to complain. Even a press conference I saw on TV in Hawaii showed the reporters were getting a bit too pushy and questioning him to suspiciously to suit the host of the College. She told the press thats enough questions like that, that this was not the "o'Reilly show" and only "nice" questions from now on. LOL!! How bout that? Who has free speech??? Anyway, I saw a quick report last night about Churchill.I think he is going to be seen in a different light soon.
Colleges though are collision course of free speech. Faculty is usually bias also, so some groups do get left out in the cold. Ill get reamed for this, but from what I gather, Islamic groups on campus are the favorite at most colleges. Free speech to spout anti-jewish sentament, and these are clubs sponsored by the schools. The same schools may not sponsor any jewish orgs. or esp. christian groups. I know one of you for sure who will comment and ask which schools. Honestly, I cant say for sure at this time. I hear these things or read them over a period of time, so It wasn't like in a class where I took notes. I do remember that there was one school in southern California. So, believe me or not, your progative.
So, everyone, even idiots has a right to free speech. Likewise, we all, even if we're fools have a right to dissent or argue anyones opinion equally. This should be learned and practiced more in colleges,or when dealing with loudmouth scam artists like Micheal Moore, or bitter smartass neocon bitches like Ann Coulter. Also as we learned last December, At Christmas. I think we all should be free to express a holiday anyway we choose. We also should let the neighor accross the street celebrate the holiday his way. We all have our own traditions. Some have rituals of faith that are sacred to them. Some just want Santa Clause to come!

I am toying with this layout and trying to make it look better. I know nothing of computer enhancement and these templates leave little to be creative with. If anyone has a suggestion let me know please, but make it simple. I have lots of websites and literature explaining it to me complicated and my the looks of what I have obviously it goes completely over my head.

I have several things on my mind to write about. Accually I've mulled over a few subjects the last few days. I would like to talk about male/female roles and how they have changed. Also I'd like to talk about how ppl tend to put trust in the internet to give facts and can it give us facts? I also want to discuss this whole "Freedom of Speech" issue. I know that one with be a heated one. I have to make sure Im up to it LOL. But its to late to decide tonite. If anyone is reading, maybe you have a preferece. We'll see, maybe tomorrow how the conversation goes!

Congress Members Who Do Not Support Our Troops

According to a "best of the web" email I get, this vote tally shows that there are some members of congress who don't support our troops. An excerpt:

This was not a pro-war resolution, just a show of support for the troops. Along with Rangel, the following members, all Democrats, voted "no":

Stephanie Tubbs Jones (Ohio)
Barbara Lee (Calif.)

By our count, 23 members of the Congressional Black Caucus--a clear majority--voted either "no" or "present" on the resolution. This goes a long way in explaining why so few black candidates are able to win statewide office in America. Racial gerrymandering produces districts that elect black candidates who are so far to the left that they cannot even bring themselves to endorse a simple expression of patriotism during wartime.

One encouraging sign: Denise Majette of Georgia and Artur Davis of Alabama both voted "yes." Both are black Democrats who defeated far-left anti-Semites (Cynthia McKinney and Earl Hillard, respectively) in primaries last year.

Ozzy Satire Continued

"Howard Dean is certainly showing a lot of energy having just thrown Bush out the window of the Japanese embassy," CNN's Lefty Stevens commented, "As Dean proceeds to try and beat Bush to death, many may see that as a partisan gesture, but it sure is rallying his base."

"Kill! Blood! Kill!" shouted the gathered Democrats.

"We'll keep following this story as it unfolds," Stevens announced, "and then go to the news round up with more slander against the military."

"Yeaaaagh!" Dean screamed as he charged Bush. Bush rolled out of the way and Dean plowed into a brick wall, getting his head stuck in it. Bush ran over and delivered a series of kidney punches, but Dean pulled his head out of the brick wall and continued at Bush unperturbed.

"There's no stopping him!" Bush exclaimed as he backed away.

Dean ripped a streetlight out of the ground and swung it at Bush like a bat. "Yeaaagh!"

Bush went flying and hit the ground rolling. "I'm gonna feel that in the morning." He got up and turned to Dean. "I have some very important business with North Korea right now; can we save this partisan bickering for later?"

"Hate Republicans! Yeaaaagh!" Dean screamed as he ran at Bush. Bush fled as fast as he could, and then spotted a building marked as "Condemned" and ran for its door.

"Wait!" yelled a demolitions man, "We're about to blow up that building!"

"Yes," Bush answered as he continued towards it, "And set the explosives off at my mark." He kept running, and then paused for a moment to turn back to the demolitions man. "The signal will be me screaming like a little girl."

Bush came in through the door, and Dean then burst in through the wall. "Yeaaaagh! Your war is full of lies! Lies!"

"Shut up!" Bush yelled back as he fled up the stairs. He then took off his suit jacket and dangled it in front of him like a matador. "Come and get me, Howie."

"Yeaaagh!" Dean charged Bush who deftly moved aside and let Dean plow into a wall. Bush then jumped out a window and used his jacket to slide away on a power line.

"Eeeeee!" Bush screamed, and the building exploded behind him. The power line then gave way, and Bush plummeted to the pavement.

"I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for!" Dean was heard to shout as the building collapsed about him.

Bush looked up to see Condoleezza Rice standing over him. "Bravo. You outwitted a raving lunatic."

"Always knew I could," Bush said as he stood up and dusted himself off. He then looked to the smoldering ruins of the building. "Do you think he's dead?"

"You slowed him down at least," Condi answered, "Anyway, the Japanese found it very dishonorable how you snubbed their meeting to have a street fight and now won’t help us. Also, I talked to the Chinese, and they won't help us because they're damn Commies."

"But we can't have unilateral talks with North Korea!" Bush yelled, "That’s just what Jongy-boy wants! We need allies." Bush stopped to think.

After a while of silence, Condi prompted, "And?"

"Give me a little longer," Bush responded, "I ain't good at this."

"If we nuked them, then they'd only be a nuclear threat in that they themselves would be irradiated," Rumsfeld suggested.

"No new wars right now," Bush answered.

Rumsfeld glanced at Condi. "I guess the administration is full of girls now."

"By the way, Rummy," Bush said, "Can I borrow Chomps, the world's angriest dog, to help protect me against Howard Dean, the world's angriest Democrat?"

"He has a busy schedule of hippy mauling," Rumsfeld responded, "He doesn't have time to be your bodyguard."

Bush looked to Chomps who was lying at Rumsfeld's feet. "Maybe he's just scared."

Chomps growled and snapped at Bush. Bush jumped on the table in the war room and then leapt up to the light fixture above to get away.

"One of your politician friends is here," Laura Bush called.

"Send him in," Bush said as he got back down and Chomps went back to his sleeping spot.

"Wow! Golly gosh!" shouted a man as he entered, "Thanks for asking me over!"

"And who is this?" Condi asked Bush.

"It's Joseph... uh... tell everyone your name."

"I'm Joseph Urusemal, and it's super cool to be here!"

"He's the prime minister or king or tribal leader or whatever of Micronesia," Bush explained.

"I'm a president, just like you!" Urusemal exclaimed, "We're so much like America in Micronesia and just love helping out."

"That's great, Joey," Bush said with a forced smile.

"Micronesia?" Condi questioned.

"They're one of the few countries in the world that try to suck up to us," Bush whispered to her, "We need these talks to be multilateral, and he was the only one that agreed to come."

"We're going to give those mean 'ole North Koreans such a talking to, ya betcha!" Urusemal said excitedly, "You can't go wrong with Micronesia on your side!"

Rumsfeld chuckled. "Looks like I'm going to have that war after all."

"We have the intelligence you asked for." The intelligence agent handed over a document to Kim Jon Il.

Jong eagerly opened the folder to see a picture of a briefcase. "You're sure this is the president's?"

"Quite sure."

"Excellent! Hee hee hee!" Jong giggled with girlish glee.

"One problem," the intelligence agent said, "Bush is bringing another head of state with him to the talks."

"No!" Jong shouted, "That will ruin my plans! We need to get him here alone!" Jong turned to the mullah from Iran standing in the room. "If you want America destroyed and nuclear weapons of your own, you stall Bush while I intimidate the South Koreans. Also, kill whoever is with him!"

The mullah smiled. "It will be done."

"Release the lock!"

An aide held one end of a long rope and yanked it, pulling open the lock of the giant cage. The door was kicked open, and out came a growling and snarling creature.

"Ladies, gentleman, I present you the new head of the Democratic National Committee."

"Yeaaaaagh!" Howard Dean screamed as he overturned his desk. He then lifted up a chair and smashed it over his own head.

"Yeaaaaagh!

"Remember to stay on message!" suggested an aide.

Dean grabbed the man by his neck and lifted him into the air. "Yeaaaagh!" Dean screamed as he threw the man out the window.

"The message is that the Bush administration is full of lies!" Dean shrieked. "Lies! Lies!" he repeated as he punched through the drywall. He then turned towards the cameras and charged them. "Hate Republicans! Kill Republicans!" He threw a punch at a camera, and the screen went to static.

"I don't get it," Bush said as he turned off the T.V., "So are the Democrats trying to energize themselves, or is this some form of elaborate political suicide?"

"They're the frick'n Hindenburg," Cheney commented, "I just would make sure not to be anywhere near them as they burst into flames and plummet toward the earth."

"I wouldn't be so dismissive of Dean, though," Bush said, "I hear when he gets in his rages, bullets can't stop him."

Karl Rove emerged from the shadows. "The Book of Punditry has prophesized such things," he intoned, "'A bomb in the form of a man will lead the opposition, and all must be done to stay away when he explodes.' We must do everything to not engage this force of rage." Rove then faded back into the darkness.

"We really have other things to worry about, Mr. President," Condoleezza Rice stated.

"Why? The elections result in Iraq are in," Bush answered, "I brought democracy where there once was none. I'm a God among men!"

"But there is the problem of Iran and North Korea still," Condi said, "Especially now that North Korea has announced they have nuclear weapons."

"Again!" Bush exclaimed, "That's horrible!" Bush then paused for a moment. "North Korea is the bad Korea, right?"

Condi rolled her eyes. "Yes."

"That's horrible!" Bush repeated, "but I guess there can't be any real trouble as long as their leader is a stupid poofy-haired freak."

Condi gulped. "He cut his hair, sir."

There was a long silence in the room. "They have to be stopped!"

"Kim Jon Il is demanding bilateral talks between just us and them," Condi stated.

"No way!" Bush answered, "I hate Asian people."

"I have a solution to all this," Rumsfeld said, standing up and fixing his tie, "War! War! Kill! Kill!" Rumsfeld ripped a world map off of the wall and started stomping on it.

"Those are expensive to replace, Rummy," Bush whined.

Rumsfeld turned to Condi. "I bet the diplomat has some talky answer to all this."

Condi stood up and stared Rumsfeld in the face. "If all the concerned nations could act in concert, we could convince North Korea back into multilateral talks."

"Bah!" Rumsfeld snorted, "Being the Secretary of State has made you weak! You could never be the Secretary of War like me!"

Condi curled her hand into a fist.

"Hey, let's stop all the fuss'n and the feud’n," Bush said as he stepped between them, "We'll try talking to North Korea, and, if that doesn't work, we'll explode into an orgy of violence. Sound good to you, Big Time?"

"This doesn't involved more oil contracts for Halliburton," Cheney stated, "So I don't give a rat's ass."

Bush smiled. "Then we are all in agreement."

"I am Kim Jong Il!" Kim Jong Il shouted, "I am very powerful! I am also very sexy! Look, my hair is no longer poofy!"

"It certainly is not, sir," his aide answered.

"And I have nuclear weapons!" Jong said, "Americans now very scared of me! Nuclear weapons very scary! I have them now!" Jong then grabbed a nuclear warhead and started shaking it. "My nuclear weapon! Mine!"

"Please be careful with that, sir," the aide warned, gently pulling Jong away.

"I have many plans for America!" Jong stated, "They will be destroyed! They will be the poofy-haired ones! Muh hee hee hee hee!"

Bush sat in the waiting room of the Japanese embassy. "Who could they be talking to right now who is more important than me?" he mused aloud, "I didn't get stuck behind Jesus again, did I?"

Suddenly the wall exploded open, and there was Howard Dean staring right at Bush. "Republicans evil! Republicans die! Yeaaaaagh!"

Bush reached into his pocket and pulled out a handful of 9mm rounds. He threw them in Dean's face, but he shrugged them off and continued charging Bush.

"Oh no! Bullets really can't stop him!"

All that is said here in America about the war, the Iraqis, the President, and more importantly, things said that can and do affect the way many percieve the troops as they stand in harms way at this moment.

We know what BBC is going to do. Aljazerah will propagate negitive news about American troops when there is none. But A CNN journalist? That is quite an acusation from a civilized American.

But It doesn't even stop there. We elect representative who use there mouths lashing out not only against war, the president, or Rumsfield, but our troops.

I am going to jot down some phrases, imagine that the Baathist, insergents, and Bin ladin are sitting around hearing each quote.

-"Our troops aren't helping the Iraqis!! They are doing more harm than good over there!!!"

Ok, this time was a little different. (M) came and picked me up at MY house last night. Backtracking here, iI have to say, I didnt go to bed at all Thursday night. So Friday morning i finally relinquished and headed to the bedroom. Why I do this, I dont know. But I sleep until 2:00 pm and the comedy show we were going to started at 8:00. That meant he would be here at 7:00. I had no motivation and was still very sleepy. I planned to color my hair.... nope. My daughter needed some "Ensure" drinks... Sorry. One lonely roll of T.P. left... Oh well. I did go get a refill of her pain medication. See, of course when mom tries to organize a night around herself, my daughter developes some life threatening illness. What was wrong with her was her teeth from the Doctor putting rubberbands on her teeth after she had dewired herself. She said rhe bands were more painful than after surgery like someone was trying to pull all her teeth out at once. So I promised to bring home toilet paper, Ensure, oh and the special lithium batteries for digital cameras. $$$$$$

Anyhooo, I didnt have time to clean the house. The living room needed vacuuming bad, and the kitchen counters, which are usually cleaned a hundred times a day, were awful. The cat shit somthing awful in the liter box just before he got there to top it all off.
I felt I looked pretty good which is rare for me these last few years. Of course I hadnt really tried even after I had lost about 60lbs of the 120lbs I gained with the meds I had been put on. He sat down and pet the cat. That made me happy, that he liked Lazar. My son had left the night before to stay with a friend, and my daughter had a friend and they were itching for a party to go to or something to do. But I just went on.
Ok, even if the smelliest ugliest guys would've came to my door and picked me up to take me to this comedy club, I would have went with him, knowing what i know now. I had a blast!!!
I have never been to one and this one was just a hole in the wall in Corbin Ky but it was so awsome. Being the mom that I am, I kept wishing the kids were there. Its 18 and up so only my daughter could get in. That sucks, because my son would've probibly enjoyed it even more. I drank some. I think (M) cut me off or something LOL. Before the last comedian was half done, he grabbed the waitress and wanted to pay the tab. Oh well. Since I dont drink alot anymore, and I take alot of medication, Three rum and cokes was enough. I knew I was starting to get tipsy. (M) didnt drink at all, just a coke. He said it was cause he was going to be driving. My daughter said later though that maybe he just couldnt afford to buy drinks for me and him. Then I felt bad about sucking em down everytime the waitress asked me if I needed another dring LOL. I mean he has three freakin kids he's raising on his own.
Ok, When the show was over, we went to Walmart and I got the stuff. Had a little trouble getting the batteries, but got them finally. I felt alittle hint of a bad vibe from him in there. I kept appologizing and thanking him. He said it didnt bother him at all, so oh well. So we got to the house. It got really awkward in the car all of a sudden. We kept making lil comments, about the show, about my bag in the back seat, just probibly really comical to watch. So, I think to myself, "what am I doing? waiting for a kiss? I dont want one!" So I opened the door and said something about that I would invite him in to watch TV but that kids take em over. He said he could help with my Walmart bags and came into the house. I stood there like "ok lets get this overwith" and then he reached over and put his arm around my waist, and I slid my arm around to his back... and then we.....HUGGED!! ......... OMG and as he hugged me his lips brushed against my neck and I felt His little peck just like the first time!!

Haha. What about that. I thought he was going to attack me with it being the second date. I mean, does this mean something bad on me?

Last night was friday night. I had made some tenative plans to finally meet face to face this guy I've talked to online and on the phone for a few months now. He tried not to pressure me throughout the week about it. But he finally ask if I thought I'd be ready for it. I told him I would and we planned to meet at a little bar close by. When we talked yesterday, he asked me if we should meet outside. We had given a discription of basically what we'd be wearing. But I didn't think I could handle the walking up to each other. So I told him that I was going to go on in, and when he got there, we'd see if he could find me going by my pic in the profile and my discription of what I was gonna wear. He went along with it. He seemed like he thought he was in a vulnerable position. I told him he could see me first and turn around and leave before I see him. Then tell me he couldn't find me the next day,so he just left or something, if he wanted to get out of it lol.

But my seat was way back in the corner next to the back bar, and I brought my daughter and her friend with me. So I could see the door plain, but there was more light there than where I was. He looked over the section we were in. He glanced over our whole side. Then he walked around to the other side. LOL. He was walking around over there forever and finally got a table. So when the waitress came and ask me if I needed anything I told her my situation. I asked if she would so over to the other side and find a guy wearing a blue UK hat and I described his clothes, and I asked her to just say "Carla said to tell you hello". I told her not to say where I was at though. Well shortly after he came around the corner and walked straight over to me. After much coaxing, I got him to admit that he had talked her into givings hints to direct him toward the right way.
What is so funny is, I was so uptight about it but it was no different than all the times we talked on the phone. I mean, there wasn't really the sexual chemistry there to cause me to be self conscious or wonder about sex appeal. I was just me. The chunkier, crazy eyed, absent minded me that I have to live with now. My daughter was totally bored. She let us know it often. So, we didn't make it a late night or anything. I don't know how he felt about me. In the parking lot, he hugged me, and as I hugged him back, he kissed my cheek real soft. I don't know If he thought that as I moved in to hug him, I was moving in to kiss or not, so I dont know if that kiss was supposed to be on the cheek or not lol. Oh well, Im outa practice. So now, it is honestly like "whatever" with me. I like having someone to talk to, but I could stay right there at that point. I know he isnt going to "rock my world" lol, or anything so, we'll see!!

The Dreaded Moment

I have spoken in this blog alot about a terribly desrtuctive relationship, which in the end, was the major cause of a total mental/nervous breakdown. My Job, my self- esteem, my slender body (meds caused enormous weight gain in a short time), my sparkle in my eyes when I smiled or even a smile at all, most important, my mind was the cost I still pay.
Some things are my fault for allowing myself to be in the situation knowing how he was. He has come to my house about two yrs ago and told me he was sorry. He was visibly shaken and awkward. It wasn't part of his game obviously. I still think I cared about me.
To me, the magnatism and chemistry was almost too much to bear between us. I would have neve allowed a man to make me lose my mind like that. It's funny but after everything, when he came to appologize, and he was ready to leave, I felt a longing for him to stay. Then he took me in his arms and held me like I was his only hope. Then the kiss awakened every primal desire that had hybirnated in me since the last time he kissed me. He and I were one again. Both of us, we both felt it the same. But it was I that pulled away. Because, I couldn't go back and relive this all over. He suggested that we not let ourselves become obessed. I shook my head because I knew that wasn't possible for either of us. I also told him I could never go back to just "fucking". He said he couldn't either. So that was that. Lots of water under the bridge.
Now its two yrs from that last meeting, four yrs since hell was let loose inside me. I went into the grocery store because my bank has a branch inside there that stays open conveniently late and I needed to do some banking. Practically next to the bank is the Deli and after I had spoken to the lady at the window and gave her my things, I began to look around. This is a very small town so it comes natural. The first thing in my view was the deli and one man standing in front of it staring into it. His eyes were full of hurt, regret, hardship, hopelessnes. He hadn't bothered to comb his hair over his little bald spot in the front so the women would think he was younger. There was now arrogence, no cocky way he stood. Yet it was him.
That look was accually a little more than a glance and I turned back to the teller. I got a feeling that He knew that I was there before I saw him. From the deli I think he saw me come in. He just stared into the deli case. I finished up my business with the teller. As I did, for a second feeling a strange passing behind my back. No one touched me and it didnt hurt or feel like anyone touched me. I just felt something pass. Then as I went to leave, I looked toward the deli, he wasn't there. I looked at the checkout lines, and they were long, nope he wasnt in any line. I walked out and got in my car and sat there for a minute to see if he came out, but he didnt, so I left.
Strangely, This is not at all the way I thought I would react to seeing him. I have such bad nerves now, I thought I would make a fool of myself. I would think I wouldnt be able to carry on business with the teller. I wouldnt have been able to at a point in the past. My hands would have shook and locked up so that I wouldn't have been able to sign my name. I wouldnt have been able to talk. My legs wuld have went numb and I would have had to consentrate very hard while limping and walking very strangly toward the door out. Then I would have be suicidal because he would have seen all of that. But instead, I think He was the one having the hard time. Imagine that! yet the jerk can still do my job at work!

-Not when one party obstructs every vote of judicial nomination siting obscure conserns of no value for each time they collectively obstruct the process.

-Not when both parties take opposite sides on a particuar issue only to cause a stuburn desention against the other side.

-Not when every positive indication in the economy, employment, foriegn affairs ect is met by some negitive voodoo pulled out of it by the other side to give an illusion that the other party failed. This done not weighing the cost of how they as supposed representitives of states and more importantly the country may affect the future in a real dangerous way.Using their ranting, whining and acusatios of failure they cause people to doubt what they see or what is to come. Other Nations, enemies and terrorist laugh at the rhetoric seeing these things on the media. Satilitte travels across the world and even Terrorist watch such things as Ted kennedy, and Al Gore and the like. They think America must feel like we failed. That the troops are doing more harm than good by staying there any longer. Bush is a liar. All this Rhetoric THEY HEAR!!! Not just him but all the bullshit.

Back to the solution! It is a despirate one too. We cant go on like this.

It is time to get rid of these two words: Democrat Republican
I could say "add more parties, give more press to the third parties ect". Yes, we need access to more than two parties. Probibly 4 or 5 Independent parties should run in each election. I mean major Idependent Candidates!. BUT, the words, and the bueracracy behind; the competetive nature that causes one to throw all maturity out the window coud not be on the ballot. No, you would never chomp at the bit and curse all Republicans as the votes are counted each election day in the future because "republican" and "democrat" are two things that won't be fought over, re-counted, claimed to be registered as by dead people, accused of racism Just because Jesse jackson walks in the door. Those two words should be retired now! Before more damage is done. This will take some time to accomplish, to get the hard line dem/reps retired. If only People read and wanted to change.

Funny, after my entries in this Blog, I was skimming through Live Journal and found a post from UK by a lady and I thought it was amusing, especially all the comments about never hearing a liberal call anyone any names. Would Liar, Aunt Jamima, thief, moron, stupid, ect, ect, be considered names? Even the UK widely read newspapers front page after the election read " How can 360 million Americans be so stupid" I think the protesting is not at all being stifled. They stood along the route with everyone else at Bushs' swearing in the other day. The President has heard plenty free speech and so have all of us. We have all freely given it too. Not just Rush Limbaugh lol. I've never even heard that clown on the radio, but apparently he gets the blame for about everything conservatives do.
People can protest all they want. There is just some talking points that Im getting tired of hearing like a broken record cause they are either twisted, manipulated info, contrived, or things that have no facts to prove any conclusion. I cant understand why durring the campain, Kerry and the dems would cry foul if those vietrans showed the actual footage of Kerry in front of congress talking about the very men he WALKED off the field and left stranded to come home and accuse them of. Thats dirty politics right lol. But They had Bush blamed for the flu vaccine shortage, and now some have tried to blame Bush for the diaster in south Asia!

Protest or Shut Up?
Lately I have come across several people who have said that liberals across the world who protest against Bush, Blair, the war in Iraq and Guantanamo Bay should just shut up. As a justification, they point out that in countries such as Iran and China, if you protest, you can be jailed or even "disappear".

This is true. It is an abominable situation when people cannot voice their opinions without fears for their personal safety or that of their family. In many countries we can enjoy the freedom of speech, so far as it does not incited violence or racial hatred. This is one of the principles I firmly believe in. I am proud of living in a country where I can express myself without fear, as I have no intention of inciting people to violence nor am I a racist.

But those who say we liberals should "shut up" because we have the right to say what we think ... guys, that makes no sense! By telling us we should shut up, by telling us we should blindly follow the government of the day, by telling us we should not exercise our free speech, aren't you risking turning our societies into those like China and Iran? It is because we can speak our minds that we should do so. If you don't like it, simply walk away, turn the channel, or click on another link. I appreciate where I live and the freedoms I have, but that's the reason why they should be exercises.

Use it or lose it, I say.

Thanks Jenni! I've been wondering the same thing myself. It's really sad to think that I can't tell some people in my native country how I feel about different issues without being called names or being told to shut up. It's easier over here because, even if you disagree with someone, there seems to be more open-mindedness in letting people express their opinions. It's changing, but it's not too bad at the moment.

They're welcome to their opinions and may express them if they so desire, but it would be nice if they'd extend the same courtesy across the aisle. The odd thing is, American Conservatism seems now to have forgotten all about the point of freedom. They like to use the idea of 'responsibility' as justification to curtail freedoms. There's no need to curtail freedoms in the name of responsibility. Laws are already in place for the due punishment of the ABUSE of freedoms. Leave the damned freedoms alone!

If it's not that, then it's the curtailment of freedoms in the name of an imposed morality, which is nothing more than the curtailment of religious freedoms.

Some folk just don't get it.

I'm amazed at the level of hostility directed towards liberals and Democrats. You would think that Kerry had won the election! I have yet to come across a blog where a Democrat, Kerry supporter, etc has insulted Republicans, Bush supporters, etc directly. Sure, they insult George W. Bush. I do that myself. But I never say, "Oh, you're stupid for supporting Bush. Why don't we lock all Bush supporters up in Guantanamo Bay? Why don't we ship all Bush supporters to Russia? Why don't we withdraw their rights as American citizens?"

I have read blogs where those who voted for Kerry are referred to as "rich snobs", where it was suggested that those states and counties that had a Democrat majority during the election should have anti-terrorist measures and airport security withdrawn, and where people such as myself have been the direct targets of extremely hostile commentary. It's just not called for.

Uhh... I may have called conservatives a few names on my blog. I usually call them backward, intolerant, ignorant -- things like that. While I realize name calling is stupid, I have relegated myself to trying to communicate to them on their level (not that anyone reads my blog!).

Too often, liberals have been called elitist. It's a fact in the U.S. that, on average, liberals are more highly-educated than conservatives.

I am tired of watching the wimpy liberals who go against beligerent (ooops, name-calling again) and get figuratively beat up. I am coming out swinging and am not afraid to get in their faces. I think we need liberals of all walks of life using various approaches to get our message out. Using too much logic just goes over the heads of many conservatives.

Well, I realize that one thing is for certain now, I have no audience of readers. How do I know? Simply because I brought up Politics and spoke a very controvertial opinion of mine pertaining to it. Out of all the bloggers, you can imagine the chances of the numbers of ppl with a few things to say to me. It's not likely that ppl read this blog but all happen to agree or that the childish behavior and unprofessional personal remarks by those like Ted Kennedy and Barbera Boxer (including name calling)just in the past week or so, caused those who would disagree to be so utterly embarassed by the left-wing liberals antics of which I spoke of, that no one wants to try justify them.
Im thinking, since no one is out there, maybe I should really start letting my hair down in this Blog. I have another blog and a journal to socialize in. So what the heck huh? You never know what you might read in here from now on you non-existing person you! LOL
